Dirk is the MVP in his prime.

Melo is years away from his prime.

If we're picking for right now, Dirk for sure.

Melo has a lot of growing up to do.

Carmelo Anthony. Put Melo in Dallas and Dirk in Denver and Melo wins MVP.

Dirk Nowtizki has led his team to the finals. Melo, on the other hand, with all that talent hasnt gotten out of the first round. Dirk Nowtizki wins this duel.

Offensive capabilities is what Dirk gets the huge edge on (Free Throws, Three Points/%, FG%). Also the slight edge in rebounding. But, in terms of overall skill/talent, Melo, IMO, takes it. Let alone, at 22(?), it's obvious he'll fill up some flaws somewhat.

If that was a joke, I even have to laught at that one.

But I take Melo over Dirk. Dirk has the better rebounding stats, but in the position he's in and considering he doesn't play with great bigs, he should get 9-10

yes...

but it is ridiculous to think that Dirk's team mates are so great that that could make any decent player MVP.

Dirk is the MVP because he earned it...
