Default Fact or Fiction: T-Mac is NOT a top-3 Small Forward

Fact.

Here's how I got'em ranked:

1. LeBron

2. Carmelo

3. Pierce

And really, is there an argument that exists that would suffice him supplanting any of these players?

Pierce and LeBron both have a well documented history of leading teams to playoffs series wins while putting up better or equal stats, and Carmelo is just flatout a better player than him at the moment.

Fact or fiction?

Anthony is not convincingly better than Pierce, for starters. They're 2a and b, respectively.

And a healthy McGrady has an argument in that area, but I'll let a Rox fan do that for me. His health questions are what keep him from being here. That and the fact that I consider him a shooting guard.

I'd disagree with that, depending on how you view the term 'convincingly'. I think the margin is fairly close, but Melo is clearly the better player.

Eh, so are you saying fact or fiction?

Not if you don't take the FIBAs into account. You could make a case for Anthony being a better scorer but the difference between him and Pierce is that he takes over four more shots a game for about three more points. Pierce is a better rebounder, passer, neither are difference makers on defense, and Pierce has actually shown the ability to lead a team. He's not clearly better than Paul Pierce.

Oh, and I'm saying fiction.

I do too. Shane Battier is the team's small forward.

If T-Mac is a SF

1. LeBron
2. T-Mac
3. Melo

Why is Pierce in the talks? He hasn't been a Top 3 SF in a while.

You're right, that's why LeBron James said they were the best two in their conference. You know, the year Pierce dropped 27/7/5 on 47% when McGrady played fifty games. You're right, he wasn't top three that year, either.

It'd help to watch basketball, but blindly tossing things out is always nice, too.

Oh, and McGrady is absolutely not better than Carmelo Anthony.

When McGrady is healthy, he is most definitely #2. Pierce is trash. How about making the playoffs once in a while? He's in the Atlantic division. How can you NOT make the playoffs? Even T-Mac single-handedly carried teams into the playoffs when he played in the East. And why does it matter what other players say? Every smart player tries to be politically correct. Don't be stupid. Never mention that kind of bull**** again.

Only a troll would make an argument for McGrady based on playoff success. No need to bother with you.

Where did I mention playoff success? I said McGrady got his team to the playoffs. You're the troll that probably thinks Pierce > Kobe. Idiot.

I'd give Tmac top 3 if it weren't for his health problems. Then again, Pierce isn't doing extraordinarily well in that department either as of late, so that evens it up a little bit. I'd trust him to stay healthy more than Mac though. And yet, with both healthy, I have to go with Tmac.

And, as people have pointed out, Tmac is not a SF. I don't get why people never seem to realize this.
