One-dimensional chuckers don't belong on this list.

Once again I find myself coming into a "Top 5 at (whatever position)" thread and see that Gasol is getting severly underrated by many ISH posters. Some of you giving him the credit he deserves even moreso, but the underrating of Gasol on ISH is still pathetic.

You're preaching to the converted brotha

Part of Pau's trouble getting ranked is the fact he plays in the small market so people don't see him play, the fact that he's European and that makes people wrongly think he is soft and can't defend, and the fact that he's capable of being a C/PF, so people don't know where to place him when making lists.

I like Gasol a lot, actually. And since I do strongly consider him of a Power Forward, IMO, I still don't think he's Top 5. Just a case of Power Forward depth most likely. Guy's I would take before Gasol.

1. Duncan
2. Garnett
3. Nowitzki
4. Brand
5. Boozer/Bosh

But since some consider him more of a Center, you can seriously make a case for him moreso than trying to squeeze him into the Top 5 Power Forwards territory.

1. Yao
2. Stoudemire
3. Howard
4. Shaq/Gasol
5. Gasol/Shaq

Gasol is better than Dwight right now, there is no contest. Pau has proven he can lead a team to the playoffs in the West on numerous occasions against some very tough competition, he has a vastly more refined offensive game, is one of the best post passers in the game, and is just as good defensively. He isn't as good a rebounder, but he is no slouch either. Howard has a ton of potential and an amazing physique, but Gasol is the better player today, and has been for several years.

Amare over Dirk is just hilarious. Amare is the 3rd best player on his own team.
Garnett is better than Dirk in every single way.
