Question Millsap, is he the real deal?

I know it's early but have the Jazz covered themselves for any potential loss of Boozer?
Millsap looks like he could rebound with the best of them. Also looks to be able to give us more than what we saw out of Humphries!
Undersized usually provides a bigger work effort especially on defence.

Well, it seems that Millsap has already put forth more effort than Humphries ever did...

Let's wait and see whether Millsap is even a viable bench player. Don't get too excited yet ;)

Don't give up on Boozer, but Milsap plays similar and can learn alot under Boozer. The Jazz shouldn't trade anyone, now. Boozer is going to have a potential all-star year next year, as the Jazz make the 1st round of the playoffs.

The Jazz are almost set, but could use one more shooter and big man off the bench. The Jazz should sign Keith Van Horn. This would be a great home-coming for him and he would play a vital role off the bench at both forwards. This would give the Jazz much needed shooting by a big who can stretch the floor like Okur, in order to free up guys like Boozer in the post. Sure he's injury plagued, but could be a cheap signing for the vets minimum or slightly over. The Jazz are going to win the division next year and make the playoffs. Utah has done an excellent job this offseason, but this would be the final piece. Here would be their depth chart, if they add the final piece to the puzzle in Van Horn.

SF- Harpring, Brewer
PF- Boozer, Van Horn, Milsap
C- Okur, Collins, Arajou
PG- Williams, Fisher, Brown
SG- Kirilenko, Myles

The rotation players off the bench would be Fisher as the 6th man with Van Horn, Collins, and Brewer. Myles and Milsap would continue to be developed in order for them to be key contributors for the future. I have also heard Arajou has lost around 20 pounds, which is very positive news.

I can't help but get excited seen as I talk the Jazz up to all my boys while their fav teams are going deep into the play-offs. Every year around this time I'm getting pumped for the new season. Can't help it!

Man I love Boozer to death, thought the Jazz should have drafted him from the start. I agree that it would be good for Millsap to learn under Boozer.
As for Van Horn, not so sure. The Jazz need a shot blocker!

Last I heard was Utah had interest in KVH but they heard his asking price and they moved on. He still thinks he is a above average player. He need to get that reality check. He's not all that and a bag of chips.

Figured as much. Dude needs to move on from college. He's had 2 or 3 chances to get a ring and failed.
Time to take that paycut and prove he can play again!

Millsap is like Reggie Evans with some actual offensive game.

Wow... Millsap is having a nice RMR. how bout that last second tip-in to win the game last night?? he just doesn't stop going after that ball. i think we got a real steal in him. he's been consistent with his performance throught the summer league. and this guy can REBOUND. soft shooting touch, too. poor man's Charles Barkley??

Like he said they leave him on defence, he's only got eyes for the ball. We heard he was a rebounder just didn't know how good of a rebouder he was/is.

Looks to be effective on the offensive end as well.

It's too bad this kid's only 6'6 or 6'7... Atleast he's got a 7'1 wingspan.

He'll outwork people in the NBA to stay on the court so that should make up for some of the height he doesn't have.
