Default Channing Frye

I know many of you have already drafted so if Channing Frye is still in Free Agency, please go pick him up now.

And Pryzbilia if you need blocks.

will it be a good move to get channing? i am seriously considering him coz i need PF badly. but who in the team could have an impact on his game (position-wise)? is travis outlaw a good choice too?

on to new york... now that randolf is there, is eddy curry still a good pick?

and a guy who went to new york and portland... steve francis being with the rockets, and the team having 3 PGs, how will it impact rafer a?

Zo- still gonna make those blocks or just let him retire?

Channing Frye is a pretty safe bet right now and should be in line to be the starting PF for the Trailblazers and get at least 30mpg. While both Aldridge and McRoberts can play power forward, Frye is better than McRoberts right now and Aldridge played his best games at center last season.
If Pryzbilia comes back strong from last year's injury plagued season, you could see Aldridge playing minutes at power forward but I think that hurts McRoberts's opportunity for minutes more than Frye.

Eddy Curry is a fantasy black hole. He hurts most teams more than he helps them and is never a good pick unless your team has punted FT% and maybe turnovers. I do, however, think that Randolph's presence will hurt Curry's production more than Curry will hurt Randolph's.

Rafer's looking like the odd man out in Houston. The Rockets wanted Mike James last season after his breakout year with the Raptors but he signed with the Wolves. The finally were able to acquire him this season and I feel like he's going to be the Rockets' starting point guard this season. Moreover they drafted a great young point guard in Aaron Brooks and he went off in summer league. I can't help but think they are going to find minutes for him this season. Rafer's been a good fantasy option for the past few seasons but he's just had too many off the court issues. At best, I think he will be relegated to back up role this season if he is not traded and at worst, he will rarely get off the bench. From what I hear, the plan is for Steve Francis to be used primarily as a shooting guard this season.

Zo should still be good for blocks and should be really valuable for those 20 games or so that Shaq goes down for this season.

While I love Rudy Gay's prospects of producing this season, I don't know if I would tell you to drop anyone on that roster. Getting Monta Ellis at 90 is highway robbery. You really don't really have a need in any of the many categories that Gay contributes in.
One thing I would definitely be wary of with this team is your three point shooting. Your best 3PTM producer is Baron Davis who is a perennial injury risk and your second best is Ricky Davis. You just have an disproportional number of guards and small forwards that aren't strong three point shooters:
Smith (I recognize that he plays a lot of PF too)
Iguodala
Anthony
Deng
Miller
Ellis

I would seriously look to trade some of these guys I mentioned for players that are strong three point shooters (NOT JOSH SMITH THOUGH). If Rudy Gay is in free agency, I would seriously try to make a 2-for-1 trade and then pick up Gay.

EDIT: I just saw in the other thread that you also too Eddy Curry at #91. You still need to try a 2-for-1 trade but if you can't swing it then maybe drop Eddy Curry, although you have plenty of FT% firepower to counteract him.
You said in the other thread that the other managers basically followed the Yahoo rankings. You can use this to your advantage because the Yahoo rankings are all screwed up. There are a TON of players above 100 that should be ranked much higher. If you want some more help with doing this, just reply here. Seriously, there are a TON.

Yeah, I dropped Eddy Curry, and picked up Rudy Gay instead, but I don't know if that was a good move. Can you plz help me with that? And also, there's a lot of above 100 players, almost all of them are in free agency? Which ones should I pick up?

Is Andrea Bargnani available in your league? If so I would seriously consider dropping Gay for him. Better scoring and FT% with comparable rebounding and blocks. But he helps plug a major hole in your 3PTM.

Trying to work a two-for-one trade with some of those non-three point shooting wings and guards would also be good.

Yeah, so I followed your advice and dropped Rudy Gay for Andrea Bargnani. Now, I'm thinking of proposing Andre Miller and monta ellis for Raja bell. Would this be a good idea?

Its seems like an awful lot of talent just for Raja Bell, especially when you consider he could lose some playing time since the Suns have brought in Grant Hill. Personally, I would try both of those guys for someone else and then pick up Randy Foye off of waivers if he's there. What you can get really depends on who you're playing with. Could you post the rosters of the other five managers?
If you could get someone like these players that would be awesome: Joe Johnson, Kirk Hinrich, Leandro Barbosa, Chauncey Billups, Mike Bibby, Raymond Felton or Jason Terry.

You also need to be wary of how any of the moves you're making affect your roster. Could you give the number of positions in your league, utilities and bench?

Yeah, that guy was a lakers, spurs, and suns fan, so that explains basically all of his picks. Is there anyway that I can sucker these guys into my benefit? I can basically pick up anyone from the waivers that I want.

I would attempt to trade Miller and Ellis for one of these guard in this order:

Joe Johnson
Chauncey Billups
Kirk Hinrich
Raymond Felton
Leandro Barbosa
Mike Bibby
Jason Terry

If you can do it, then go grab Foye out of free agency.

And now that I see what your roster positions are, it was a wise move to drop Eddy Curry. You would have had three guys who are only eligible for the center position and only 1 center slot plus a utility position for them to go in. You could have ended up with needlessly empty roster spots on some days.

Also, I see Peja on the waiver list, and he fills up the 3pt and ft categories. Would it be a risk to take him and drop someone else?
