I like Peja but his health is a major concern. We haven't got any real news as to how he's doing. Your primary target in trying to trade should be Joe Johnson. If you could get him for Deng + Ellis or Miller + Ellis that would be great, but then you would need to pick up a point guard like Foye.
If you can't Johnson, but you can get either Billups, Hinrich or Felton then Peja would make a lot of sense to make up that roster spot.

If you can't any of those four players (Johnson, Billups, Hinrich or Felton), it might be okay to just stay with Andre Miller and drop Ellis for Peja. I say this because you need to keep your assist levels up because there are a lot of teams in your league that are very strong in assists and Baron Davis is almost guaranteed to miss a chunk of games somewhere in the season.

All right, I traded ellis and miller for kirk hinrich, which leaves me with one empty roster spot. Who should I pick up?

It's really up to personal preference. I would still try to hedge my risk of Baron Davis going down with Randy Foye but getting Peja for nothing would be excellent as well.

All right, I picked up Randy Foye. I also pulled off a carmelo and ricky davis trade for dwayne wade. Was this a good idea? Also, this leaves me with another roster spot, and since wade is injured for a month, should I pick up another guard, or go for Peja?

I think Peja would be a good addition now. You need to make up for the 3PTM you lost by trading Ricky Davis. Just keep in mind that Wade is going to miss the first 10 games or so of the season while he's recovering from offseason surgery. Don't panic when he's registering DNP's for awhile.

I picked up Peja, and directly after this, I was offered a straight-up Dirk for Arenas swap. Should I pull the trigger on this?

I love Arenas. He was the best fantasy guy last season before his injury. He's supposedly back to 100% and he's in a contract year. I personally would do it.

What bigs are left in free agency? I ask because you need to balance your roster. It's becoming very guard heavy and you're losing about 4 net rebounds per game by this trade (although you're also netting +2 3PTM, +4 PTS, +3 AST, +1 STL). I think if you do choose to go ahead with this trade then at this point you should go ahead and drop Foye for a good PF or try to trade Deng for a PF like Mehmet Okur or Zach Randolph.

OMG, the guy that I traded ellis and miller for protested the trade to the commisioner, so he backed out. I'm pissed off about this, because now I have to start over and i have a crapload of guards. I was offered a trade of felton for miller, which I took. I don't know if it was a good idea though, because it didn't clear any roster spots, but I don't have to give up ellis. What are your thoughts on my predicament? I dropped peja and foye for now, because I don't know what to do.

I edited my post above to talk about possibly trading Deng.

Give me an updated version of your roster. Trading Miller for Felton is a good move. I'm going to bed now because its 12:38am here. I check this sometime around 9am EST. Don't panic because there are probably some good players still in free agency if you can't swing trades.

Thanks for the advice. I'm still thinking about the Dirk for Arenas trade, because i have too many guards. I was offered an Amare and Deng for KG trade. Should I take it? Here's my lineup-

SG-Andre Igudola
SG-Josh Smith
SF-Carmelo Anthony
SF-Lamar Odom
PF-Dirk
PF-Emeka Okafor
C-Amare
Util-Luol Deng
BN-Ricky Davis
BN-Raymond Felton
BN-Tyson Chandler
BN-LaMarcus Aldridge
BN-Monta Ellis
BN-Bargnani

I thought you accepted the trade of Miller for Felton or is that still pending? And Carmelo + Davis for Wade or is it still pending too?

The wade trade was rejected at the last moment, and the miller for felton trade has just been approved.
