Patrick O'Bryant
How good will this guy be in the pros?
Is it a reach at No. 5 for the Hawks?

5 is a bit of a reach, yeah, but he should be a solid center once he pans out.

7-14 range.
Guy will be a career 9/7/2 bpg type of guy. Take that as you will.

Great rebounder.
He is also a good shot blocker. Not much of a leaper, but he has ridiculously long arms which allows him to block without fouling.

I actually think this kid will be one of the best centers in the game during his career.
He's a hard worker, young, and has a frame that could easily add 20+ pounds without sacrificing agility.
I think he's the guy that fights with Yao Ming for best center in the game a few years from now.

I really want to like this guy since their is a decent chance my hometown team picks him up (twolves). But im having a serious Olowakandi relapse. Have a similiar build out of college, some have questioned their work ethic, small school, plus he went to high school about 20 minutes from where i lived and he was decent at best in high school. Not exactly rational reasoning here, but I just see it happening again.

Wolves won't be getting this guy, will be better players available at #6, even in a weak year like this.
So yes for the Hawks at #5 this would definetly be a reach.

In a good draft I don't see him going above 15. But being the best center in the draft means someone will pick him too early.

Im uncertain on him. One side of me says I should like him. The other says he will bust. It's difficult. He will never be a great player but there isnt really a reason that he cant give some team a Diop like presence and these days, thats a great contribution at center. It really is sad that Diop is a top 10 center because really he isnt very good.

I like this kid. He's a true center, ridiculously long and has shown himself to improve each year. He might need to still work on his conditioning and maybe add a few pounds but I think he'll be one of impact players from this draft.

No particular order:
Shaq
Yao
Camby
Ben
Okur
Kaman
Bogut
Magloire
Nenad
Illgauskas
Pryzbilla
Jeff Foster
PJ Brown
Brad Miller
Zo
Then there's Diaw if you consider him a C, your beloved Pape Sow, and debatable whether Brezec and Zaza is as good or not.
