I don't know how easy it is, and it's hard to get into but hedge fund managers on AVERAGE make 217,000$ per HOUR.

Pharmacist. You crack like 100 g a year a lot more in you find a niche and can open your own pharmacy somewhere. A lot of schools have 5 year programs. That is my second choice for a career, if I get to college and I know, that I find out I'm not smart enough/want it enough to be a doctor I'll become a pharmacist.

I just want to ask, would it be way more stressful to become a business man? I'm only 14, but hope to become a business man in the field of renewable energy, and I'm thinking scotland would be a great place to satrt because of the natural resources.

Start rapping. Based on my scientific obervations, all it takes is an inflated ego, horrible lyrics, and a handgun. That doesn't sound too tough.

Yep, my girl comes home and does nothing but plan for the next day. She's working a good 55 hours a week. Also, the thread said good salary. Besides a policeman, teachers are the most underappreciated and underpaid professions out there.

Being a teacher has its positives, but there's also baggage that comes with it. Oh, and you mentioned a lot of vacation time, but most corporations have a good "Paid Time Off" plan. However, teachers in the summer are not paid! You select either to be paid more for 10 months, or space your salary out over 12 months, but paid a bit less.

First year is a nightmare. My friends tell me that they don't leave the school until about 7 at night. As for the baggage..........yes, there is indeed a lot of that. If you CARE at all about your students, and you KNOW that some of them are living horrible home lives (which in a large class size, is bound to happen), then that kind of stuff keeps you up at night.............

The first year of teaching is hard. After that it gets easier and easier though once you've got all your curriculum set up.

Yep - my girl was in tears yesterday and last night. She bought some dice to play a game in her science class. These are all 9th graders. Well, she spent the time to create this learning game, she invested her own money to buy the dice (not expensive, just the principle)... and the kids stole the dice from her. She asked the class to please return them before the end of class, and if they did not, the fun and games would stop.

All 11 dice were stolen but 3.

Pretty lame. You are on point MLH, the classes she has are way overbooked. Not enough desks, the kids can't take their books home b/c they don't bring them back. Last night she finally came to the realization she can't be a superhero and change these kids like she expected. She's called many of their parents... most of which couldn't give a sh*t. School to the parents is nothing more than a current babysitter.
