Lockdown defender, Bruce Bowen-esque, specialist, Michael Ruffin is now a member of the Milwaukee Bucks. Look out world!
MILWAUKEE, Sept. 22 -- The Milwaukee Bucks have signed forward Michael Ruffin (6-8, 248) to a free agent contract, General Manager Larry Harris announced today. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
“Michael has made a career out of being a high-character, high-energy player who does the little things to help his team,” said Harris. “He is a very good rebounder and excels on the defensive end of the court.”
In 327 career regular season NBA games, Ruffin owns averages of 1.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
at least they have someone that can play some defense now
now all they need to do, is make a rule that's called the Ruffin effect. Late game situations, he's allowed to be on the floor, but the minute his hands touch the basketball (on offense or defense) a timeout MUST be called to ensure possession. and if no timeouts are available, the closest teammate should snatch the ball out of his hands.
I love how he is bragging about how the team is so much better than last year and when the question comes up "Do you think you will make the playoffs?", the response we get is "I think we will be better than last year"...
