im excited to see what this guy's gonna do under d'antoni's system and playing behind steve nash, this might be that final tiny little piece we needed to secure our future and to keep winning (suns are the nba champs in 06-07)
What's with John Salmons....> are the fans ticked off...I know the Raptor fans are...he not only dumped the Raps...but he gave up on a team like the Suns...who actually are competing for a championship...what's with this guy?? Is he that good???Just wanted to know the reaction from the Pheonix fan club...
who cares how much his contract is? you guys have steve nash so you can sign 5 million crappy players who can shoot and win 60 games a season. well, his contract is pretty good though, roughly 4.2 million a season for 5 years. um...this guy is pretty much going to be a pimp. give him 2 years and he will surprise you, could be a lot better than 4.2 million after steve nash is done teaching him. the guy is super-fast, can play the best defense at his position in the league and his jump shot gets better and better every year. once he can shoot a little better though he's pretty good already and he needs to develop more NBA caliber basketball IQ. But the upside to him not having all the IQ yet is that he loves to learn so he watches tape like crazy and could have a breakout year either this season or the next couple. He's fast so he fits the suns perfect, he will be the fastest guy on the floor, not skinny by any-means though, he is just super-athletic. I still think you guys could of gotten him for about 2.5 million a season rather than the 4.2 million. The guy chokes in pressure situations but he's still young. It's weird because at the end of a game he will miss the last shot, but lets say theres almost no way in hell that your team will win the game, he's the type of player who will run the floor about 3 or 4 times in a row and drill the 3-ball almost everytime in the last seconds and he's not even that great at 3 pointers. he shows flashes of greatness and then somehow he loses his head and comes up short at the end. I felt like last season, if his head was on straight, he was the ideal point gaurd and other games he just wasnt. If the guy matures, he could be an all-star potentially. anyway SUMMARY OF MARCUS BANKS
-- GREAT DEFENDER, AVERAGE SHOOTER, AVERAGE DECISION MAKING
-- NEEDS MORE EXPERIENCE AND MORE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GAME AND HE COULD BE AN IDEAL PLAYER

even if marcus doesn't do all that he doesn't do...what this comes down to really is how much are our championship chances?
