I'll go with Johnson. His scoring ability is similar to Redd's but he is more versatile. Johnson averaged around 6.5 assists in 05'-06'. I would feel comfortable with Johnson at PG, SG or SF. He plays in a similar style to McGrady now. I like Redd but he just isn't as valuable as Johnson IMO.
Joe Johnson by a country mile. In terms of being the main guy on a team, I'd take JJ in a NYC minute. He's just an all-around better player, more dependable, and a creator / playmaker. Redd is just a finisher, and really can only finish as a spot up shooter. He's like Steve Kerr on steroids. JJ is a poor man's Tracy McGrady. JJ >>> Michael Redd Vines, Period.
