He is an NBA type player, he has a lot of will and he will succed. As an adjustemnet year for the Rockets he will surely come off the bench, and he must improve his long range shot.
The reason 15pts is a lot in Europe is not only because the game is shorter, but because teams play so fast paced that players are substituted in and out of the game a lot. So players generally don't play more than 20-30 mins a game. The defense there is not better. The NBA has more of a defensive aspect to it, while European ball is more like Phoenix Suns ball.
Spanoulis is more of a slasher with a decent shot, but the range is limited (which is suprising because most europeans have great shooting touch, but no inside game). Hopefully he can develop that shot and his defensive ability. That would give the Rockets the perfect combo guard and he could hopefully replace Alston in the starting lineup.
Best Case Senario:
If Manu Ginobli and Tony Parker had a baby...it would be Spanoulis
Worst Case Senario:
If Carlos Arroyo and Dan Dickau had a baby...
