If Vlad was gonna be better than Dirk, I think we woulda saw a little bit more promise by now..he had the same role in Seattle behind Ray and Rashard and he averaged around 10 a game there...I don't see him getting much better than what we saw last year with the Clips...

If he can contribute a good 12-13 a game, that would definitely work. I would also be happy with 6-7 boards a game. I dont see him doing much defensively playing other small forwards. T-Mac, Carmello, Marion, etc. I dont see him slowing them down. Damn, now that I think about it, we probably could have gotten Harrington for close to the same amount of money.

plain and simple no. lets just be happy for what he is right now coz most likely that's all he'll ever be.

i think its safe to say vlad will never be a dirk but i do think he will reach his potential playing on this laker team...he will have a lot of open shots and thats where we will see what kind of player he is...i still like the addition and i think its a fair price because the triangle does need a consistent jump shooter...i just hope hes better than what i havce already seen..

Vlad is young.... so we dont know what he could ultimately be. He will hopefully be a contributor in this system and give good minutes with some decent scoring and even a little defense!

Well this is simple. On defense have Odom play the three so he can be assigned to some of those guy like Marion and melo.

Coming to think of it...George was the melo stopper.

COME BACK GEEEOOOORRGGEEE!!!!!!!!

Love the Peja comparisons. I think in his prime, 17ppg, 8rpg will be what we get. Just a notch below Peja though in my mind.

I can see 17ppg(prolly more like 15), but he's never even averaged 6rpg let alone 8.

he's never had starter's minutes. in seattle he was 6th man behind Rashard. with Clips he was sharing with Maggette. Let's see what he does with 35 mpg
