Re: Zach Randolph Is The Least Appreciated Player In The National Basketball Association.
Not really the least, but I agree to some point that he's underrated. I consider him as the same level as JO. Offensively slightly better but defensively weaker than JO. Many doesn't seem to appreciate ZBo's great footwork and soft hands which are very rare for big guys. Despite the fact that he's overweight, he still moves quick for his size. His soft hands is and low post plays are top rated as well. Attitude problems and work ethic is a big problem though.

That's an often misunderstood perception about Zbo that he has a poor work ethic. He was close to the best trainer at the blazers and came back incredibly quickly(a lot quicker than amare) from microfractur surgery, putting up big stats.

even though stats don't tell the whole story (he's very slow running the court, is a black hole on offense and bad man-to-man defender), he's still underappreciated. and even more when you compare his stats to his salary...or consider than guys like dalembert and nene get 10 mil per year.

Simliar to JO in that for inside players they both shoot a brutal %. Z turns the ball over a ton without getting too many assists (he was 3+ in the TO department).
I haven't watched enough Z to tell you how good/poor a defender he is, but he accumulates less than a block and less trhan a steal per game.
Scoring inefficiently on a bad team has never been sufficient to garner appreciation.

He is a very good player and everyone knows it. People act like he is garbage because out of all the players with similar numbers, he is one of the worst, least impactful players.
Still a great player, but you wouldn't want to have him as your franchise because he's going nowhere.

He can have the best work ethic in the world, but still he is a poor man-to-man defender and an horrible help defender. So basically you don't know what to do with him on D.
Moreover, he's the typical star in a weak team: high scoring, big time with the ball, very few assist and very few passing out of double teams.
So, all in all, he's an incredibly beautiful looser.

Then again, we're talking about a 25 year old man whose favourite activity is video games and favourite movie is Scarface. I got very little respect for him as a player and as a person.
Your an idiot. What basketball player at his age and in this generation doesn't play video games? I have the magazine given out at the last Blazer game with all the trivia on the players. Most of the Blazers favorite activities include sleeping and video games.
He should have been an all star his last year here in Portland. He may have friends that drag him down, but how can you expect him to just dump those with bad influence on him when he enters the league? At least he isn't a glorified ****** like Kobe. You don't like the image you have in your head about him. You don't know the half of it though.
