One could argue that his numbers could have netted him an All-Star spot. He's a very good basketball player yet no one seems to give him credit. Despite his weight issue which a lot of people love to pick on, he netted twenty-three points and ten rebounds.

He had a great season...it didnt go unnotice last season at all. Maybe if you werent too busy spamming the board with meaningless bball articles you would have read topics with ongoing discussion that included Zack. Your loss...no one elses...now you wanna play the "One could argue..." when one did argue it. Where the hell were you last season?

Quote:
Why do a lot of people discredit Zach Randolph when Kevin Garnett averaged twenty-two points and twelve rebounds??? Why does Kevin Garnett get a free pass and Zach Randolph doesn't??? Hmmm.

Because Kevin Garnett can pass the basketball and make plays with the basketball outside of scoring. Because Kevin Garnett can play defense. "One could argue..." KG during the season had an argument for DPOY. Since you like stats KG avg more steals/blocks than Zack could ever avg. Hmmmmm

The things KG does as i listed...Zack struggles to do. He can turn the ball over faster than he can hit a player cutting to the basket.

Quote:
Furthermore, since they post similar statistics, do you think Kevin Garnett's $23,750,000 salary shows that he's better than Zach Randolph who makes $13,488,377??? That's $10,000,000 less.

WTH does salary gotta do with a damn thing? The CBA is set up where KG can command such big bucks. Zack has a hefty contract that increases to 17-18mil per. What are you using salary nonsense for? KG took a paycut. Guess you forgot that.

Quote:
If you're being paid ten million dollars more than a person who's posting similar numbers to you, shouldn't you be expected to do more???

KG does more than score and grab rebounds genius. Do you watch basketball?

Quote:
If one doesn't do more, how does that one person get a pass and the other person who makes ten million dollars less doesn't get a pass and gets paid less yet receives more criticism??? It doesn't make sense.

KG does more on the basketball court than Zack does. Why you overlook that DOESNT MAKE SENSE. KG is an MVP candidate, MVP caliber player. Top 10 for years, arguably top 5 if not top 3 depending on your criteria. When has Zack ever held such recognition? KG is regarded as one of the best all around basketball players in the NBA. When has Zack ever held such recognition? KG was the Minnesota Timberwolves...fans showed up to see him. When did Zack became the face of Portland? Because the draw/reason why fans paid money for tickets? When did Zack ever command value in a trade that KG did when he was moved to Boston?

You wanna make an argument that Zack is the least appreciated? Cool, it can be done. But the way you attempted to do it was horrible. Reminds me of the Eagles OL last night. Laughable. Maybe you should stick to spamming random bball related articles. Seems you struggle mightily when trying to talk actual basketball. Sad.

Playing video games is one thing, it being your favourite thing in the world at that age?? Sure makes T-Mac seem like a Nobel Peace Prize candidate for having an interest in Darfur.

Plus, that stuff in the magazine is just there to cover up the real favourite pastimes of Blazers players, such as drinking, fighting, hitting up strip-clubs, rape, and all that other stuff they're always in the news for.

wow --

be a little bit fair. NBA players are just people -- extremely large wealthy people.

Just like people -- there are some who act with a charitable/save-the-world agenda (sure we don't all make documentaries, but people walk for a cure, or volunteer for goodwill)

there are some homebodies;

here are some religious people active in thier church;

some people are out for a good time;

and there are some people who act with bad intents.

Cannot say all-nba players anything.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. Most NBA players are decent people. Most of them give back to the community, and not because it's in their contract. Deke has built more stuff in Congo than their government has.

But Zach Randolph is nothing more than an over-grown gangsta wannabe who plays GTA and watches Scarface and then imagines his own life to be like that. Then he goes out and tries to live that fantasy out.

Vast majority of NBA players do not punch their teammates and do not get accused of rape. Mostly because of the choices they make and situations they avoid. Randolph seems to lack that sense.

I understand your arguement, but if you think that agruing a comparison to Kevin Garnett is legit, you need to check your facts...

I think having a subscription to NBA League Pass should be a prerequisite for posting on this board. Seems like most people just click on basketball-reference.com and look up stats, than talk about players as if they've seen them.

I'm still waiting for someone to notice that Shareef has better career stats than McHale and starting asking why one of them is in HOF and the other one is under-appreciated.

Randolph and Curry are going to be the nastiest low post present in the East. That's easily nearly 45-50 a game.

Yeah, the Knicks will allow about 45-50 a game solely due to the two of them.

Maybe they'll be in the new Converse commercial. Score 7 baskets. Allow 8.

Aren't dimes and assists the same thing?

For sure he meant rebounds, but that is a valid point. Randolph is a black-hole, and all he can provide for a team is scoring.

Which makes Starbury's quote, which I was quoting, all the more amusing.

Zack could love getting into trouble, strip clubs, getting arrested. But he loves playing video games which a lot of people his age and older do? Check the video game lines at 12am when some new game is due to drop with a large buzz. Its not 12yr olds.
