Isn't this kid going to Georgetown? it will be interesting to watch him and Hibbert play. He is listed 6'10" which usually means he is actually 6'9" so he will have to grow a little to play center in the NBA but if he plays PF all he has to do is bulk up.

He's not going to play with Hibbert. He will be in the NBA.

If Monroe truly does fancy himself as a small forward, he'll be in a perfect system. He can play the 4 at Georgetown but still hone his perimeter skills, much like Jeff Green.

I think he'll do well by himself if he does develop those skills, but remembers that he's really a power forward.

The beauty of Georgetown is that with their system the "4 man" needs to be an inside-outside threat. So Monroe will get a chance to develop both sets of skills. Provided he stays more than one year of course.

All I know is that John Thompson III must be one amazing recruiter to put the No. 1 recruiting class together. Every kid in America these days talks about wanting to be in an up-tempo system. Everyone wants to run. And he's gonna sign the No. 1 class to a team that played at a slower pace than 327 teams last year.

No, it isn't. Obviously your opinion is far from objective.

Per capita, it's in the team picture, but Texas, Florida, California, Indiana, Illinois and New York are better basketball states.

The kid should try to develop his post skills, bulk up and become a center. Center is the most valuable position in the nba. He looks like a SF but he has the height and length to be a big man. Maybe he'll be a Chris Bosh type of player.

I'm sure you can beat me. I'm 24 years old and haven't played an actual game of basketball in probably two years. I played football and baseball in high school.

Louisiana is probably in the top ten in terms of basketball talent produced, but it'd be toward the bottom of the top ten. Texas, California, Illinois, Indiana, New York and probably Ohio simply produce more talent on a year-in, year-out basis.
