Default Kobe for Dirk trade? Would you do it?

I have heard that Kobe is requesting to be traded to either the Mavs or Bulls.. and supposedly the Mavs are only offering Howard and Jason Terry. This raises a few questions..

1. Why isn't Cuban willing to trade Dirk for Kobe?

2. Why isn't Cuban being called out for not being willing to trade Dirk for Kobe. You would think Mavs fans would want this and the media would be calling Cuban crazy for not trading Dirk.

3. If Josh and Terry aren't enough for Kobe, then what Dallas trade not including Dirk would be enough for Lakers fans?

4. Does Avery want Kobe? Avery knows he would be on thin ice if the Mavs lost with Kobe and kobe is the kind of guy to get a guy like Avery fired. But.. with Dirk Avery could get fired if the Mavs continue to choke. Kobe might give Avery a better shot to win a championship in his mind.

5. If thr Mavs feel Dirk is more valuable than Kobe then could the Lakers sweeten the pot in some way to make the trade worthwhile for the Mavs?

Dirk and Josh Howard for Kobe makes sense.

Because Dirk is Cuban's money maker for the Mavericks, plus the Mavericks already have enough guards.

Gee I don't know. Maybe its because of Kobe's leadership in the past?

A Dallas trade would be a Kevin Garnett type of trade.

Either player would get Avery fired.

of course it's silly. It was a response to your even nuttier Kobe/LO for Dirk/Howard.

I actually like that deal.. Kobe and Odom for Dirk and Josh.

I think that is a fair deal for both parties because Kobe isn't as good as Dirk and Josh isn't as good as Odom IMO. But they are close.

Dirk is the biggest choker ever. MVP means nothing nowadays anyway. Howard wouldn't have even been an allstar if it wasn't for all the injuries around the league and playing on the team with the most wins.

Kobe, however, is a proven clutch player. Hell he even led the pathetic laker team nearly past phoenix a couple years ago. Anyone who thinks dirk is better than kobe is either a blind fan or just stupid.

This begs for a bigger question.........

Has a guy ever won the MVP award and then was dealt the following offseason.........has a MVP ever been beat down in the 1st round the way Dirk was? Maybe Dirk wasn't the MVP everybody thought he was.

Somewhere LeBron is going ...hmmm

what is so wrong with that....

I think you want too much for Kobe....you never get equal value back. That the way it works, look at all the big trades in the league..They never are equal value...

If they get an MVP back and an young all star they should be happy

MVP, Dirk, you serious? That superficial award means nadda in regards to him as a player. NOTHING. Kobe Bryant straight up is a better player than Dirk Nowitzki. And Josh Howard is much better than Lamar Odumb. The Mavericks would be taking LA's cookies for a deal like that ...

The Mavs have been to the Finals with their team.. the Lakers haven't been out of the first round.
