Default The New York Knicks are now one of the most talented teams in the league...

Basketball is a team sport. All the talent in the world can't help you without the team, this isin't baseball, there should be no individual spotlight.

Defense and teamwork will help the Knicks win. The main thing that prevents them from winning is immaturity, too many turnovers, too many bad shots.

Defend and share the ball and you should be fine.

Z-Bo's looking good on the Knicks. I told you guys he would be an asset.

I kind of miss Z, but we needed Aldridge to start and get more time. Works out for both of us.

too bad that we have neither of those two things at least not under this administration, and definitely not with these point guards. That said Nate did have a sweet dish to David Lee in the third quater of last nights game. There is hope...

I thought the Knicks played well last night, but as you can see not much defense in the first half. Stephon Marbury was getting schooled by #9, who was draining threes all over and Marbs didn't give it all his effort to jump and contest the shot(s).

Did Q Rich miss the wide open dunk on purpose after the steal? he's now one of my favorite players from the Knicks. It was a good laugh though the fans loved it and so did he.

The Knicks to me played like a team, Marbury had some nice pick and rolls to Zach Randolph, I think this team could do some damage if they focus.

You can't judge the Knicks accurately in the preseason and especially against a non-NBA team.

Talent and potential have to be realized to matter.

Zbo, Lee, Nate, Fred Jones and Crawford -- all looked very good.

Marbury is faster and in better shape

Although Q looked healthy and moved well, he played very badly. While Q played the most minutes of any Knick, 28 I believe, he made zero shots. Q did not miss the layup or anything else on purpose. he was way off.

It starts here in the preseason. They looked good for a team who wants to complete a task of getting over the hump. Of course whatever happens during preseason games isin't exactly going to be the same once the real season starts, but maybe this is a glimpse of what you will see. It all starts here.

What does that even mean? they have talent and potential, they show it. It is being realized.

What does that even mean? they have talent and potential, they show it. It is being realized.

Last year, I believe the Knicks won all their preseason games.

So what did it mean? Did they win any POST-Season games?

They did not even get into the playoffs. Then, talent and potential equaled another losing season for the Knicks.

The Mets and Yankees showed lots of talent and potential too. Unrealized talent and potential means nothing in the end.

The Knicks need to prove that they also have heart and desire -- otherwise, it is another losing season.

Don't be fooled. When games are on the line, winning teams prove they want it more than the other team by digging down deep and pulling tough games out. The Knicks have yet to show that the can even make a few defensive stops and big plays in a row when it counts.

Until then -- "potential" means "maybe they will win or maybe not!"

Ye Knicks do have a few players that are 2nd and 3rd tier stars, but we don't have a Superstar that runs this team.

And based on talent, I would take these teams over the Knicks:

Suns
Celtics
Bulls
Golden State
Dallas
Spurs
Denver
Houston

Superstars are not necessarily the issue here.

Who was the superstar on the Detroit Pistons championship team?

IMHO the two Knick championship teams did not have a single superstar between them. Not even one superstar out of 30 players! Although they had some very good players, those Knicks won because of teamwork, defence and heart against other teams -- even those who had multiple superstars.

Today's Knicks have enough talent but they need to have fire, desire and some defence to be successful!
