They get a group of Young talent. A 4 that plays with Bynum and a borderline franchise player in Zach. Jamal will have room to score a lot of points there. Mardy would play well off the bench with Javaris Critt.
Marbury, Curry and Crawford, etc. are too much from a Knick standpoint to give up, IMHO. Although Zeke might agree to give up either Marbury or Crawford, and possibly even both -- I do not think he would part with Curry too. Jerry Buss, might not agree to that even if Isiah was willing, because the Lakers would then become the new Knicks.
Zach, Jamal, Renaldo, Chandler, Mardy and a
1st round pick would not be acceptable to LA as "equal value," IMHO.
Especially since their are concerns over Z-Bo's off-court conduct. Even though the last package gives two very good players and some good prospects, I do not think it would not be enough to get Kobe, who is arguably the best player in basketball today.
I doubt that the Knicks have the personnel or the desire to break up this team to get Kobe. The cost would be too great, even if that was possible.
IMO from LA's standpoint any deal involving Kobe would have to include Curry(close to becoming an elite C) , Crawford(perfect combo guard for triangle), Lee(excellent player who makes little), Balkman(long tenaciuos rebounder and defender who also makes little) plus draft picks and maybe cash. Thats a high price to pay but you are talking about the best player in the NBA. Not to mention the Lakers may be looking to dump Radmonovic's contract as well.
Dont put anything past Zeke,he'll trade his grandma if it helps him win. Plus he has a chance to go down in history as the man who brought Kobe to MSG.....and LA will not want to deal Kobe to a West coast rival. I think if does happen Zeke would try and also get Artest and B miller to plug into the starting 5 as Sacto will salary dump once they start 5-20.
But who knows,ChiTown or NJ will probably get him. Thorn would Definitely deal any combo of Vince, Williams, Jefferson, Kristic, and Boone for Bryant. What better way to start off new team in Brooklyn?
Unless your playin in NBA Live theres no way this can work. There arent even enough basketballs for Zach and Eddy to be happy so how can Bryant also fit it. We gotta build CHEMISTRY with time and the right players in the right spots to make an impact. Your not gonna bring Kidd to a team to score, Tmac to a team to pass. You gotta make ur superstars the BEST they can be.
The trade i posted b4 allows, Kobe and Eddy to do what they do best. Score in their range. Marbury will facilitate and be the second option(on the perimeter). Lee will be in a position to get minutes and do what he was born to do Rebound, Run the Floor, Pass from the key and make some defensive plays. Q(when in shape) will defend the best player on other teams(basically get lit up) and hit spot up 3 pointers.
Crawford or Q. Richardson
Brown (gotta take garbage from LA to make it happen)
I really like a starting lineup of
James/Brown(he might be better in the east)
Randolf would own the paint in the East and Kobe would have a better shot at the playoff than he does in the West with no trades, and keep a big market spotlight. NY Outlook: draft Centers and Defense for a while.
