I'd play Shane at the 3, Odom at the 4, but it'd be a good lineup...But what do we have to give up to get Odom? Havn't checked to see if the salaries match, but other than a Luther/Howard package, can't imagine anything that would be close that might make them even think about biting, and even that doesn't seem like enough, even if we throw in a 1st rounder...could be wrong, but doesn't seem likely.

Where are you getting this information from? What would they possibly want from us to get Lamar Odom? The way you made the post sound was that we might trade Tracy. I don't think thats going to happen!

It would probably be T-mac that gets traded if anyone. I don't think this trade wold go through, but if T-Macs back is a problem, maybe the right thing to do is trade him.

^^ wont happen. There is no way this would happen. T-Mac is the rockets franchise player, and dont even tell me Yao is. T macs amazing when healthy, and i think everyone on the rockets knows that. McGrady and Kobe couldn't be on the same team. Kobe likes being the man in L.A. and I dont think he would support bringing in T mac knowing how he can score. Kobe likes rackin up the points. There i just no way this would happen.

tmac will never be traded for Lamar Odom, he is already a proven underachiever

Why would they trade him for lamar odom when other teams have way more to offer. Odom wouldn't fit well in Houston either, they need a perimeter player to play with Yao like Kobe & Shaq. And why would they trade a player with the potential to be a player similar to T-Mac for a role player like Battier. A team like the Knicks would be able to Marbury/Francis(even though he played their before) and other young players like Nate Robinson, Channing Frye, or David Lee. That would be a more interesting offer if I was the Rockets GM, but still, i would at least wait another year until I start worrying about T-Mac's back.

Lamar Odom is a high caliber player, even though not tmac worthy YET. Odom can take over a game at times. He could be a future all-star based on his talent, but u really dont know with the guy. Is kobe stealing his sunshine or is he just a second option? Odom is very capable of defending 2 positions, maybe 3. His jump shot isnt bad at all and he can get to the basket pretty well. He put up great numbers this year, or is that because he played with Kobe? I don't really think so.

Odom wouldn't be a bad pick up to the Rockets, but I would think that the deal would involve t-mac. Like the Lakers would send Odom and so other for t-mac. Odom would be great but if that depends on giving up T-mac, I say NO WAY!!!

Why is this discussion even being had? We all know TMac isn't going to be traded, and especially not for Odom.
