Default first start for NAzr in Charlotte (17, 8 and 3 blks)

Nazr's first start next to meka! Shot 7-13, 4 fouls 4 to in 38 mins. Pretty solid and certainly a lot more than they were getting from Brezec and Herrmann this year. I think this was a solid trade for Charlotte and they will have a better record for it. Should be interesting to see if meka's # go down in blks and boards to accommodate a very solid center.

This will be an all right trade for Charlotte. Not exceptional, but not terrible. Nazr is a serviceable big man, and at least tries to play D and rebound. I don't get why people were all DOOM AND GLOOM on MJ because he traded Brezec and Hermann.

yes, they've both shown flashes, but nazr has been consistently one of the better centers in the league (lets say top 20 of actual CENTERS) and he works hard out there. and again, so far, he has contributed more between his 1 bench role (6 on 3-5, 5 rbs and 3 as in 20 ) and 1 start than brezec has in 2 years. still I like it for the pistons. something to play with.

So does this mean Okafor is the starting 4 now?

Cool. I got no problem with this trade. They traded expirers and got an okay big man. Nazr was decent in SA, and never got a chance in Detroit for whatever reason.

I think it is a good trade. The Bobcats got the big man they needed and Emeka and Wallace can go back to their spots. And they got rid of Brezec, which is a good move. The worst part could be losing Hermann, he performed really well during the last part of the season, but since Sam Vincent was not giving him big minutes it can be considered the best decission.

Nazr's problems shouldn't be as big a deal on the Bobcats.

Strengths:
-He plays hard
-He's professional
-He rebounds well

Weaknesses:
-Basketball IQ
-Black hole on offense

Basically, he could be a decent role player for a contender if he was just smarter. He has the capabilities to play kind of like Jeff Foster, cleaning up boards and scoring garbage points. But for some reason he wants the ball and to create his own offense. That doesn't work on a contending team, because there's always going to be much better options on the floor. He also commits dumb, dumb fouls. And I can't count the number of times he works hard, fights for a rebound, and then tries to make some impossible pass, or puts up a horrible shot, thus ruining all the good he did by getting the board in the first place.

He just tries to do too much. He could be a good hustle player, but for some reason he thinks he's more than that. It's why he fell out of the rotation in Detroit, and I'm assuming it's why he lost his spot in San Antonio to Rasho.
