Default The Knicks Need To Play Better At The Garden.

a key to a good season is what they do at home. they need to play better at the garden. the garden is the best arena in sports. knicks fans are the best fans in sports, there is no reason y they cant play better at home. there record at home has to be well over .500 this year.

They don't feel comfortable in their roles.

Which has alot to do with why they do not play with the swagger and confidence necessary as a home team.

Feeding off the crowd can only go so far. You still have to do the basics like defending, ball pressure, securing rebounds and taking the best shot available.

Until they do these then winning at home or on the road will be tough task.

Let's hope they can because the road is tough when you can't win at home.

Whenever they show a good game, like yesterdays win over the Celtics the fans really get behind them. One bad game and the critics come out, it will be like that until they show some consistency.

They did an excellent job tonight against the Celts, who played their starters big minutes in an attempt to get the win.

It had the intensity of a playoff game and the Knicks played good defence. Lets hope the Knicks can build off of this victory!

I looked at the box score too and saw Nate went back to being Nate.

20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assits.....I wish he was 6'9" instead of 5'9".

He's just not a PG. His best position is as an SG off the bench but in for his energy and attitude.

So let him be what he is and use it to our advantage with Collins running the point and switch on D.

I noticed Fred Jones only played 9 minutes.

Nate's size does not matter that much since he has tremendous athleticism and hops. Remember when he blocked Yao?

Nate worked on his PG skills this summer when he won summer-league MVP in his third year there.

His play in summer league and in preseason, has moved him ahead of all reserve guards at both PG and shooting guard positions. He is a scoring guard that can play make and a point guard that can score. Also with 9 rebounds in 28 minutes against Boston to go along with 20 points and four assists, the 5'7" Nate is a spark plug that changes momentum and plays excellent defence.

Consequently, Nate will probably be the first guard off the bench in regular season, backing up both Marbury and Crawford. He could also be used in a three guard rotation or when the Knicks want a faster, smaller line up.

I was at a game last year when Nate grabbed 10 boards actually... he is gutsy and feisty but needs to learn to control his emotions and play with his head. Many times he's overdribbled, been to fancy, taken an ill-advised shot... hopefully all that has left with pre-season experience.

Nate scored 20 again tonight, back to back. He is playing under control and the second unit is playing better than the first.

Lots of positives, including Zack's first double double here. Only the persistent foul trouble of Curry is a negative. But, I think that will get better.
