Default Summer Pro Leagues - Long Beach vs. Las Vegas

I asked this question in the main forum and I did not get any responses, so I would like to ask it here:

Is the Long Beach Summer Pro Leage on its way out? There were only 4 NBA Teams participating this year and Las Vegas had more. Las Vegas also got a lot more play in the media.

Any thoughts if this is true or any opinions? Are there politics involved?

Thanks,

Mike in SoCal

I thought only 4 were there last year too.

I dont think it will finish. Every year unproven rookies keep coming in and they need to play against NBA caliber competition to prove themselves.

So with that being said. I believe the SPL will stay

So you don't think the Las Vegas SPL will "take over" here? I just don't remember in recent years, the Vegas SPL getting so much play, hence my question.

As a side thought, I wonder if the Lakers have lost some of their allure and it has minimize the draw.

Perhaps its my imagination.

i dont think the lakers will leave long beach for vegas. that will be a bad pr move .i think it would be best that they stay here so that we the fans of the lakers can watch our team rookies grow into superstars. and it also give us die hard fans an extra month of laker basketball. because the next 3 months is going to be hard on me (boring).
