Grant Hill before the injury. He was probably the best athlete the Pistons have ever had (before the injury that killed his career of course). But the smartest thing they ever did was trade him realizing he wasn't ever going to be the same player. Outside of the court I would have to say John Salley. He had his own radio show and seeing him on sports shows, he just seems like a cool guy.
Dennis Rodman because if he never would've became the rebound only defensive stopper he was the Bad Boy Pistons would've suffered greatly because of it.. He was and is truly one of the greatest rebounders and players ever!
(P.S. nothing he did off the court should even factor into his career)
I am a Toronto guy - Raptors fan - but I grew up watching a lot o Detroit cable t.v. During the bad boy glory years. b4 there was a Raptors or Grizz
Joe Dumars is an obvious because of what he has done both on the court and inside the Management office. Great stuff...
I always liked John Salley (spelling?) - the spider. I always thought he was underrated in his role on the team compared to Zeke, Joe, Lambeer et al. He kind of reminded me of the "James Worthy" of the Pistons when Worthy lived under Magic's shadow.
