Default Flip Murray went off yesterday (preseason)

He shot 8 of 11, plus added free throws, for 22 points.

Just preseason, but still good

When I heard about his trade to Detroit, I hoped this was what he would do every night, except for an average of around 17-20.0ppg. I hope he keeps it up.

Certainly doesn't hurt his trade value.

Flip isn't consistent, but when he starts he plays much better. If there's a rebuilding team out there suffering for a starting combo guard, he'd be a great fit. I think Utah, LA Clippers, Miami, Orlando, and Indiana should all be offering us a 2nd rounder for him. If so, send him to LA.

The Clips really do need some help in that position. I could see where they may be interested. Especially if they expect Cassell to leave after this season. He did say he was interested in playing in Denver under Karl and then wanted to get into coaching. I could see Flip fitting in pretty good there. A second rounder and us getting rid of Dupree too would be a good trade for Detroit. Although, I still like that Smith trade because he probably has more talent than that of most of the 2nd rounders, but it really depends on if that pick is an early 2nd round pick or a late one I suppose.

Clippers are probably going to be on the bottom 5 of the NBA, so the pick should be good. I'd be happy with a 2009 2nd rounder from them, which might be more acceptable to the Clips. They are likely tanking this year because Brand is out.
