Default Kobe/Joe Johnson Trade

I can barely type this because JJ is the man and he has been so loyal to the franchise, but damnit its Kobe!

Joe Johnson/Josh Childress/Speedy Claxton

for

Kobe

Law/Lue
Kobe/Stoudamire
Marvin/West
Josh Smith/Shelden Williams
Horford/Zaza Pachulia

That is a better deal than Chicago

JJ>>>>Deng (And JJ is only 26 with a frontloaded contract)
Childress>>Tyrus Thomas

Speedy is just a throw in to make the money work.

Kobe could agree to this trade because it would still leave Atlanta with young studs Josh Smith, Marvin Williams and Al Horford.

Forgive me if I screw up the lineup Lakers fans but you would have

Farmar
JJ
Childress
Odom
Bynum

childress better than tyrus? childress is soft. tyrus is still 24 and barely gets any playing time, but he's a defensive beast.

Posted a similar trade from ATL last week. I think the Lakers will want JJ, Childress, and either Josh Smith or Marvin Williams. This would be a great trade for the Lakers but Kobe would never agree on it.

The Lakers can want whatever, but this is a buyers market. Since Kobe has a no trade clause that cant make the other team's cupboard bare. This is why you have to take JJ, Childress and Speedy. This is more than they got for Shaq.

Kobe would agree to the trade because he'd come to the Hawks where he would have a 20/10 guy in Josh Smith, a 17/7 guy in Marvin, and a young post stud in Horford, who will probably go 10/10 this year. Not to mention our bench has Zaza who is solid, a role player in Shelden Williams, a sharpshooter in Salim and Lue who he already knows from his championship days.

As far as crowd support....trust me if Kobe Bryant comes to town. He would be the biggest thing since Michael Vick. And this is the time for the Hawks to make a deal like this. The Braves suck, the Falcons suck, the Thrashers have had a bad start. They could be the saviors of the Atlanta sports scene. Phillips Arena would be Staples Center south, all of the celebrities who live here would be out...hell they came out when we stunk.

If Kobe goes to Chicago the best he could be would be second fiddle to Mike. They aren't going to build a Kobe statue in Chicago. If he comes to Atlanta they'd name the building after him.

Kobe obviously wouldn't go for this trade... but just imagine Kobe in a Hawks jersey... sick... sick... SICK.

In a good way. Atlanta has the potential to be a southern hotbed (like Charlotte) for basketball. When their best player's name is Joe Johnson, no one gives a sh*t.

I vote Kobe to Atlanta!

Not only that but he'd be in the same division with Shaq, where he could stick it to him every year.

Childress is a 13/6 player who shots over 50% from the floor. TT couldn't score 13 points if you spotted him 13 games.

Atlanta isn't on Kobe's wish list of destinations.

Also, I don't think the Lakers would like that trade. They want more firepower to fill Kobe's play-making void (Joe Johnson can't do that quite yet).

In order for Kobe to go to Atl, he would want to play with JJ.

A core of JJ, Kobe, Marvin, Zaza is nice. With Sheldon, Lue and Childress in the top 8.
Keep in mind that Lue and Kobe used to play together and are friendly.

JoshSmith, Horford, filler should get the deal done.

Kobe will never take a trade to Atlanta because he'll be worse off there than in LA
