Right now he's ranked ahead of Kevin Durant. If he keeps putting up high scoring and rebounding numbers, along with leading his team to the playoffs, then I think he could realistically beat out Durant for the award. What are your thoughts for his rookie season so far? A man among boys in his rookie class? I think the center spot is very hard to come in right away and play, as most of your veteran opponents already have seasoned bodies and are generally stronger than you are. That to me is a more impressive feat than Durant and his low field goal and 3-point percentages. I think Horford could be scoring in the mid to high teens if he played on Seattle team too, and he'd have a higher field goal percentage, as well.
I'm not here to "tear it up" on conspiracies whatever that means.
Okay.... Well go Horford then. I thought you were going to keep talking about the conspiracies in the OCL. Haven't seen you here in a while and just figured I'd mention it here, my bad.
I'd vote for Horford. I think it'll end up close. If Durant was shooting 44%-45%, then it'd probably be a no-brainer. I just started a NBA2k8 franchise with a frontcourt of Al Horford and Al Jefferson. Double Al's kicking ass.
i'm a huge fan of horford and although he was incredibly consistent throughout the season, i can't complain much with durant winning the award (although i was optimistically hoping for maybe co-RotYs ). after watching his play in the celtics series though, i am really excited to see how much he improves next season.
