i have been offered 3 different trade proposals for my lamar odom: 1) tyson chandler, 2) chris kaman, and 3) zydrunas ilgauskus... which one should i pursue? or should i just wait for odom to come back...
my team in a 12-team h2h league consists of: steve nash, tj ford, stephon marbury, rashad mccants, michael redd, kevin martin, martell webster, rudy gay, udonis haslem, al jefferson, jermaine o'neal, chris bosh, lamar odom.
Most definately wait. Odom is a fantasy stud, in H2H all you need is the best team at the end of the season (and a decent enough team to make the playoffs). These are all horrible trades for you, especially considering that you're not thin at the center position.
I disagree with the person a couple of posts above who said that Lamar was like a poor mans Marion. They're actually quite different apart from points and boards. Lamar gets more assists and less steals and blocks.
I'd predict a stat line of around:
48% FG%, 70% FT%, 15 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 3PTM, 1 steal, 0.5 blocks, 2.5 turnovers.
Compared to Chandlers:
60% FG%, 12 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks (he's also been shooting his FTs at a decent clip, 78% so far, but I'm not sure if that will keep up. However since he doesn't shoot too many FTs he doesn't kill you in the cat like a player such as Shaq would)
If I were you I might be looking at trading him for Tyson Chandler as Odom's been pretty injury prone over the last couple of years and you are pretty set in assists. On the other hand, you've already got quite a few centre eligible players. But it's always much easier to trade Cs then SFs.
I've heard that Odom could be back this week, so you might as well see how he plays for a bit, and if it's shockingly or if you think your team could handle the loss of a couple of assists a game, you can trade him for Chandler if the deals still on the table.
