Why is T-Mac NOT criticized for being a BALL-HOG???

Dude has been straight CHUCKING through the 1st 4 games this season (took 31 more shots tonight).

Kobe seems to be constantly criticized for "ball-hogging" and he plays with crap like Kwame, Walton, Cook, Sasha, Evans, etc. TMac has arguably the best center in the NBA and solid role players like Battier, Alston, James and Scola....yet he seems to get a FREE PASS for his selfish play.

Yao, NOT Tmac, should be the #1 option for the Rockets. Until then, McGrady will always be......

dunno but he should be. Houston probably lost 6-8 points tonight b/c TMac would take a crappy shot instead of giving it Yao who has position in the post.

For what it's worth, he had 8 assists. That being said, Kobe is way more of a chucker than TMAC.

In reality, only the last two. Yao definitely should have gotten more touches tonight.

Yep. He takes a fair amount of shots, but he's far from a black hole. I do think they should run more of the offense through Yao, though.

Yao was getting doubled and anytime Yao get the ball with two guys around him, that's usually a turnover for him.

i think Yao was what, 9-12 from the field... forgetting the fact he made 75% of his FG... he ONLY took 12 shots against Dallas... dude should at least get 20 shots a game if he is shooting at 75%..

i don't think people should bash Tmac just like I don't think it's fair to bash Kobe for being a chucker.. Tmac, Kobe, AI are scorers, when they are on their A game, there's absolutely nothing better to watch.. of course, they will struggle in some games, but it's not like us fans should expect them to become Nash or Kidd just because they are having an off night...

In fact, with a player like Tmac, you want him to keep shooting, because as easy as he can shoot you out of a game, he can shoot you back in it... at least he isn't shy of taking the shots or worry about his FG%..

Yao got plenty of touches........he just always passes it out, that's not Tmac's fault.

If you watched the game you'd notice almost every single time down the court they tried to go to him........again he is uncomfortable in this system and keeps passing up shots.....that has didly squat to do with Tmac.

Another thing, Tmac has hitting over 50% of his shots through 3 games, he gets to shoot the ball, because he's been on a tare. Tmac is also NOT A BALLHOG, because he STILL PASSES THE BALL OFF almost every time he comes up the court.......(read above).

How the hell does a guy have 8 assists and then somebody starts a lame ass thread calling him a ballhog.

Tmac is going to have to be our lead scorer until Yao can figure out how the hell he needs to play in this offense (some of that is on Adelman also).....It's a learning process.

Tmac is not a ballhog, because he proves it every game, (you'd think a freaking Laker "or should I say Kobe" fan would figure that out, since it was Tmac that passed the ball to Battier for the winning shot against your team.....wake the hell up)

T-Mac took a lot of 3s late in the game because they were losing for a big amount of points for a short time that was left in the game, he was force to take 3's because they got no other choice.

T-Mac have been taking it to the hole these early games a lot, but ppl,just assume he is been jacking it 3 point or jump shot all the time. and they double Yao all night and force Houston to score from the outside.

and 8 assist only 2 T.O.

22 assists, 8 turnovers for T-Mac through 4 games..2.75:1 ast:to
11 assists, 15 turnovers for Kobe through 3 games.....73|:1 ast:to

So, in one game more, Tracy has 11 more dimes and 7 LESS turnovers[almost HALF of Kobe]. A reason to why you can't say Tracy should get criticized like Kobe, he sets up his team mates and doesn't turn it over as much.
