Default Official "Unexpected Breakouts This Season" Thread

This thread is for the players we have seen so far who have been playing pretty well but really were not expected to. Not necessarily breakouts, just players who have surprised me a bit.

Ronnie Brewer-16.3ppg/1.3rpg/2.0apg/2.8spg
People knew he was solid but he really has stepped up for the Jazz this season. Hes long, athletic, and a gifted defender. I see him having a bright future with Booze and Dwill

Brandon Bass- 9.0ppg/4.3rpg/1.7bpg
Pretty unknown player. But he has been doing pretty well off the bench for the Mavs in limited minutes. He seems to have good upside, he can block shots, rebound

John Salmons-21.5ppg/5.3rpg/5.3apg/1.5spg
We all knew he was a decent player, but in Bibbys absence, he has put up impressive numbers. Sac aint doin **** but hes showing he can play early in the season

Jordan Farmar- 8.8ppg/2.0rpg/2.8apg/0.5spg/0.8TO
This guy worked hard on his game this offseason and it has shown. Hes great at running the floor and has very good court vision. Hes great at attacking the rim and making plays in a hurry. Hes really been Lakers great spark off the bench in limited minutes.

Francisco Garcia- 14.8ppg/4.3rpg/3.8apg/1.5spg/0.8bpg
I know his and salmons success is a direct effect caused by Bibbys absence, but hes put up very decent all around stats. I saw him play in Louisville and I thought he was a good player. Does a bit of everything.

Desanga Diop-7.5ppg/9.3rpg/3.5bpg
One of the leaders in blocks in this early season. I think he has been working on his offense. I watched a few games of him this season and he looks much more comfortable. With minutes, he can be a 10/10/2.5 player.

Jason Terry- 22.8ppg/2.3rpg/5.0apg/1.3spg/.5TO
Not really an unexpected breakout player but who wouldve thought he'd be playing this well off the bench? Hes been very efficient and has been scoring a lot. Hes putting up his best stats since comming to Dallas

Just to name a few

I'm not much on statistics this early in the season, but it is clear in watching Daniel 'Boobie' Gibson in his first four games that he has done a lot of work in the offseason and could be the #2 that LeBron has been searching for.

15 ppg on 56.8% from the floor

He is shooting a blazing 57.1% from the 3-point line and has added a pull up, midrange jumper to his game. The kid is also very clutch.

He still needs to work on his passing and decision making, but as a scorer, he is for real. He sort of reminds me of a young Ben Gordon.

Linaz Kleiza anybody?

Just 25 mpg.

12 points and 4 boards off the bench. 48% from the field. He can really score in bunches and has good range.

He's only 22 years old. He can be a big scorer in this league.

LaMarcus Aldridge..A lot of people saw what he can do in the Spurs game

Martel Webster, looking at his stats...Minutes, FT percentage, FG percentage, 3pt percentage, Steals, Rebounds, and even Block are all way up. Keep in mind this is only 3 games in, but still. Just wait and see how much better he gets.
