He's still the same old Steve Nash. His per game stats may be suffering compared to the last two years but thats due to decreased minutes.
only his assists are down... in fact his TO's are so highhhhhhh... hate to see that... he's still the best PG in the game... hope he gets back to the Nash we saw last seasona and the season before and the season before the season before...

Why are you speaking like he's been performing bad? He hasn't at all. Yes his TOs are slightly up, but that will even itself out after some more games.
People, we are precisely 4 games into the season. Assessing people and teams right now this early just has no point and meaning.
I don't see how 19/5/8 sucks. As everybody else says, the season is just starting. Bosh has had a terrible start, but that doesn't mean he won't pick it up eventually. Same for Nash, except Nash's start hasn't been terrible, it's been perfectly fine. So he's lost a few assists, no big deal. He'll get back into the flow.
the main issue for Nash and the Suns is the lack of spot up threats they've had before. makes them easier to defend. you can cheat in the lanes on Nash more.
Compared with his former season's stats, which is 18.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg and 11.6 apg, Steve Nash is averaging 19.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg and 8.0 apg currently. We can notice that his doesn't improve much at points and rebounds, but the number of assists decreases all of a sudden. What's going on with him? Does he become more selfish than usual, or it's the strategy of the team coach?
They've played 4 games so far this season... too small a sample.
Amare Stoudamire is out, who's he gonna dish to, Brian SKinner?? Once Amare comes back, Steve gets 2-4 more assists per game.
We've already determined that Brian Skinner is one of the centers with the best PER at the moment (what do you mean, it's only two weeks into the season? Goddamn haters!). So it can't be his fault.
He didn't really even play the 4th quarter yesterday. Ended up with 10/7/6. He's been fine in every other game other than the Lakers game, but everyone pretty much licked that night.
