Is McDyess going to start this one? Regardless, Maxiell should see increased playing time because of the Bull's small lineup. Joe Smith probably won't play heavy minutes due to injury.
yeah and look how its working out in the first few minutes. maxiell has the hops and strength to shut down tyrus thomas. mcdyess is not a good matchup against him. he's not a good enough rebounder.

i no the pistons will have to shut down the bulls the rest of the game if they want to pull this one off
I can't wait until our youth brigade (stuckey, maxiell, johnson, afflallo) is fully up and running this season.
we need to move away from the slow halfcourt offense in flip's playbook and toward the speed game. if you look at the skillset of our young guys thats what style of play fits.
I'm pretty upset with the Pistons defense on the front line. The Bulls have one of the worst scoring front lines in the league and yet they seem to be scoring at will down there.
cant believe they lost to the bulls one of the worst teams sight now and i was upset on how are deffense played. They should have had way more stops on offense
Even with the crappy defense on the frontline if they hadn't have turned the ball over so much they would have won. It seems like every time they got within 1 they would miss the shot or turn the ball over.
the bulls aren't as bad as their record. they always start off slow and they probably won't be fully clicking until after the "circus trip" where they go on a 12 game road stint because the circus comes to their arena.
really rebounding is an issue for the pistons. im frustrated by the lack of playing time for amir johnson (injury concerns?) and maxiel (12 minutes total tonight). amir is probably the best rebounder on our team but most fans don't realize it because he's on the bench for the 3rd sraight season. Hopefully that changes.
Again, I don't see how McDyess who always plays his way into shape can get the nod over Maxiel who has demonstrated he is ready to step up.
I agree with you - McDyess was a bad fit tonight. He did rebound and his +/- was +1 so he couldn't have been terrible (Maxiell was -1). However, Maxiell was the spark that helped pull the Pistons out of their funk and re-energize the team to make that second half run.
If Maxiell is the only spark we have, we kinda need him coming off the bench. I think we should have seen more of him, though.
