i was just wondering what you guys think,
will the jazzz trade booz?
i know the jazz are quite happy with him but do you think there is a chance?
if not booz, anyone else?
Boozer has assurance from Larry H Miller himself that he's NOT being traded.
All signs point to the Jazz 'standing pat', atleast untill the allstar break. At which time they should move Giracek, cause Miles and Brewer will be eating his minutes.
I'm not too keen on Miles. He's still raw as anything.
I completely agree that CJ's still pretty raw, but Sloan just don't like Gira.
It's Brewer who will impress Sloan with good Defense and by playing under control (by staying within his abilities). Ronnie will see more minutes than CJ.
I said this the day he signed with the team, and I still believe it to an extent. Boozer has the tools to be the MVP of the league if he works toward it. This system is tailer made to a player like Booze. The ball runs through the power forward on the block. If Carlos really wants he could step up to the role his idol played. When we signed him it looked like Malone version 2. The bodies are even similiar. The biggest thing is Boozer's commitment. I guarantee that the Mailman at some point "tweaked" his hammy too, but he didn't miss half the season from it.
Booz is straight cool. The guy just don't like his life in the public eye so much. I know the Cleveland deal bothers him a bit, but he's got a good heart.
The only thing I don't really know about is his wife/ business manager.
At first I wondered the same thing (especially with all the peeps withdrawing), untill I caught wind of a childbirth. I bet the Booz has been pretty busy lately... He ain't even come up to J-town this summer.
Ok so boozer is most likely staying.....would the jazz trade anyone else?
I'd be willing to bet that Gordan Giracek is on his way out this season.
It's no secret that he and Jerry Sloan have never been on the same page, and I don't see that ever changing. I would think that both Gordan and the Jazz front office realize this and would look too end things amicably. The thing is Gira is gonna have to get back on the court and prove that he is healthy before the Jazz can really get anything in return. I look for this deal to go down before or around the all-star break.
