Default Sonics need a PG now...Should we trade AJ for Damien Wilkins?

Is there a way to bring in Damien and give the sonics a point guard since they need one now that Luke ridnour is out?

No, the Sonics can suck it up and live with the fact that they won't be having Rid for a while. Wilkins has about 17 ppg... while those stats are inflated big time from what he's actually worth, he's still much better than Anthony Johnson. Johnson would have to come in and learn a new offense. By the time he does, Rid will be pretty close to being back anyway. Delonte West and Earl Watkins will suffice for now.

Yep, they could, I think they started the season without Ridnour and they were just fine.

I don't really see this trade helping either team in the long run, but it would be a good trade talent-wise for Atlanta. The Sonics (when Ridnour returns) have one of the deepest point guard positions in the league with three players who should get playing time each night. The Hawks on the other hand already have Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, and Josh Childress at the wing positions, and it would be tough to get Damien Wilkens any significant playing time compared to what he's getting in Seattle. It would be fun though to see him like 'Nique with the Hawks..

I'd like to see Luke Ridnour join the fray. Maybe AJ+Shelden or something. Just get him.

It's tough to say if Ridnour is as important as some people make him out to be. PJ has been experimenting with a whole bunch of starting lineups, and most of the time Ridnour came off the bench.

Sonics still lost but it wasn't much different with him starting either.

Exactly. They already have a ton of wings in Joe Johnson, J-Smoov, Childress and Marvin Williams, D-Wilks won't get much PT. even though he can go off on some nights. He is a great 3pt shooter.
