(let's pretend Magic doesn't exist for a moment, because comparing anyone, especially a human-sized PG, to Magic in any area is unfair.)
I realize it's just a HS game but this guy is so coordinated it's scary. it's like he's a next generation human being v.2.0 who is more coordinated than anyone to come before him. look how easily he moves, how easily he finishes, the eyes in the back of his head, etc. he's like the Tmac of PGs. the things he does in midair so effortlessly, in games, you'd feel dumb even trying in your backyard. anyone seen him in college yet? is he considered the top prospect at this point?
The way Beasley is looking he's not even the best prospect in his class right now. We'll see how it goes in March though before I decide but I think this might be the best class since 03.
Did you not see him over the last week? The dude penetrates like Wade. Guy is deadly although he forces it at times, which you need not do when you have CDR, Anderson, etc. on the wings.
To be honest though, In my mind Gordon has closed the gap a bit. I haven't been able to see as much of him so far, but he has looked every bit as good shooting and driving (probably better at shooting right now).
Eric Gordon crushes Chattanooga and he closed the gap.
That was the fastest change of events since the crossover at the 23 mark.
I'm not gonna rank the freshman because it will change constantly. Just enjoy them and evalute vs the better competition they face. And this topic just exposes the lack of knowledge one has in terms of PG talent coming out. Chris Paul anyone? Geeze.

Gordon isn't even a pg. Rose doesn't always play pg either.
And I'm not basing Gordon closing the gap on Indiana blowing out a **** team. Just how comfortable he looks on the court. I thought he'd be a clear step below Rose (doesn't mean by much, just that it would be noticeable), but he hasn't at all.
Of course players will show who they really are when they play better teams.
He is a very talented basketball player but his 2.3 APG and .75 A/TO ratio so far doesn't look so hot.
For a comparison last years 1 and done point guard Mike Conley averaged over 6 assists a game and led the NCAA in A/TO ratio.
Rose has a ton of talent but I havent seen anything out of him that says this guy is the next Chris Paul or Deron Williams at point. He looks like Dajuan Wagner right now to me.

Tell Geewiz not me.
