Who are you to talk about anything. You probably cant even tap or have proper form on a jumpshot. All you did was look up pippens stats and see that he averaged more rebounds and tried to use that as proof. Look at all of kobes career and all of pippens then say something. Until then Dont ever make a thread like this.

Pippen's career hmm....6 rings..Kobe 3. Not only did Pippen have more rebounds he had more assists, steals, blocks and shot a higher %. Look at my last post too that was directed at you.

Bro stop bringing up Jordans sidekick please. Kobe Bryant is the best basketball player on this earth we have today. We've never said that about Scottie so you really should think about what your arguing about.

Bro stop forgetting Kobe was just Shaq's sidekick when he won rings. You should maybe consider Scottie did everything far better than Kobe except shoot and score.

Pippen- 22.0 PPG/8.7 RPG/5.6 APG/2.9 SPG on 49.1% from the field

Bryant- 30.0 PPG/6.9 RPG/5.9 APG/2.2 SPG on 45.1% from the field

Except for scoring and a slight edge in assists, Pippen pretty much has Kobe beat. Also keep in mind Kobe had Shaq while Pippen's main help came from Horace Grant, B.J. Armstrong, and Toni Kukoc.

Scottie's best season is very debatable.

In 91'-92' Scottie averaged 21.0 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 7.0 apg, 1.9 spg, 1.1 bpg and shot 51% from the field!!

Pretty close, but I would give the slight edge to 1993-94 since he didn't have Jordan. To me, that season proved he didn't need him. He was third in MVP in 1993-94, and would have won it had it not been for Olajuwon and Admiral.

Scottie was a better all around player I don't think there is any question. Kobe did less in the 2000 finals then Scottie did in any finals. Kobe had like 15 ppg on 35% shooting then. Kobe shot just like 39% the following year too. Kobe was a sidekick then. Kobe cost them the 2004 finals when he shot like 33% and had just 2.8 rpg and 4.4 apg. Keep in mind I like Bryant but Pippen was better.

woah you guys got way off topic. the question was if you thought the '96 Bulls could beat the '01 Lakers. I think the answer is pretty obvious. There's no one on that Bulls team that could guard Shaq. He would rape the Bulls.

I don't disagree. The only thing Kobe really has on Pippen is scoring. Pippen was the much better defender and all-around player. At least if Pippen had an off day, he could make up for it on the defensive end. Kobe isn't that good of a player to do that. Kobe isn't going to grab 10 rebounds or have 4 steals or 3 blocks if he only scores 20 points.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. Pippens FGA per game were always at about 16-17 per game so if he looked for his 23 plus per game like Kobe he could have averaged 25 plus per game easy. Pippen also ran the Bulls offense and played a PG on offense which is why Phil Jackson called Scottie a point forward/

I guess we now know where the term "point forward" comes from. Back on topic, the point I was trying to make is if the Bulls had their way with the Magic and Sonics(both 60+ win teams), then they should be able to take the Lakers since they were pretty close with those two teams.

While that is true. I am still wondering how they would have guarded 2001 Shaq especially in the finals where Shaq played BY FAR his best basketball.
