If Ben Wallace and Okur can make it, I think Tyson can, but he will have to put way better numbers to make it in the West with fowards and centers like Boozer, Yao, Duncan and etc.

Ben Play in the east and Okur make it due injury to a lot of All stars

well chandler obv has no chance
but in terms of david west.. i guess he has somewhat of a chance
dirk, carmelo, boozer are locks for the spots
that leaves 2 spots for the forwards.. sooo marion(probably in)... then you got josh howard, david west, maggette, al jefferson, odom, durant...

so ya, while i think chris paul should be the only hornet all-star, david west will have a decent chance of getting in

West has no chance to make the cut with Yao, Boozer, Duncan, Nowitzki, Anthony, J.Howard, Stoudemire, Marion, Odom and so on being on the ballot at forward.

Only Paul has a chance to make the team.

they are all center's on the ballot.

IMO Josh Howard isn't an all star just yet. David West, Al Jefferson, and Odom are all better than him in my opinion.

are you kidding me?

Dirk hasn't been shooting all that well this year and he STILL has better stats than West. Boozer completely owns him.

Dirk
19.8 ppg
8.7 rpg
4.8 apg
.9 spg
1.2 bpg

West
19.6 ppg
7.5 rpg
2.0 apg
1.1 spg
.8 bpg

Boozer
25.3 ppg
11.5 rpg
2.6 apg
.9 spg
.7 bpg

lol :) Howard was an all-star last year

Take it easy on my fellow Hornets fans though. Some of them haven't followed the league in a couple years (because of relocation I assume)

Nice to see more of you on here though!

If the Hornets are 40-10 at the All-Star break, they might get three.

More likely, they'll send Chris Paul and that's it. As others have said, the C spot is full now with Yao, Duncan and Amare, and the West always has a big pack of All-Star caliber players at forward.

I know he made the team, but I didnt think he deserved it. Josh Howard is a good player, but there are alot of underrated players that deserve the recognition that he is getting

only paul.

gimme a break. west isnt better than half the PF's in the west.

& chandler is improving, but all his points are due to paul's abilities to give him easy dunks.

Chris Paul is the only Hornet with a case and even that's not a great one. Nash and Williams have been better. Kobe will get voted in, Tmac probably will. It's hard to see them picking 3 PGs on the bench. There is a lack of SGs though so he might have a chance.

Possibly, but there's a pretty big glut of forwards that he'll have to make it over. He'll have a chance if he keeps this up, but it's going to be a tough fight with Howard, Jefferson, Maggette, Harrington and Aldridge all having great years. Not to mention how under the radar/underrated David West is by fans/coaches alike.
