I really like David West's game. I was one of the first people to realize how good of a player he had become at the very beginning of last year... perhaps before most NO fans realized it... Unfortunately, he has a lot of competition to deal with at the forward position out west.... Carmelo, Marion, Dirk, Boozer and now Al Jefferson.

Here's what the west looks like in terms of competition for an All-Star roster spot.

Nash, Parker, Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Carmelo, Yao, Bryant, T-Mac, Duncan, Amare, Dirk, Boozer, Marion, Josh Howard...

David West will likely be left off not because he doesn't deserve to be an all-star, but because there are several players ahead of him who are primed to take a roster spot.

the hornets have only played 11 games so far so its easy to make statements like this, but even still theres always good players left off the all-star team, there just isnt enough spots for everyone

Dirk, Boozer, Marion and Melo are all but locked, that leaves one more spot (if any) for the forwards. West is up against, Maggette, Artest, AK, JHo, Al Jefferson and Odom. West easily an All-Star? no.

I hope this is simply a case of you forgetting to add your sarcasm tags.

David West - 19.6/7.5/2 on 47.9% shooting
Carlos Boozer - 25.3/11.5/2.6 on 53.1% shooting

Now, I don't understand how someone could say that West is looking better than Boozer... so it blows my mind that you've claimed that he's looked a lot better than Boozer.

Shoot, even Al Jefferson is playing better than D. West right now...

Al Jeff - 9.5/11.1/1.2 on 50.7% shooting.

OK I agree none of the rest can make it but what have Nash and Williams done better than Paul this season? Plus factor in the game is in NOLA and he has a very good chance of making it.

I don't see Steve Nash not being voted to start the All-Star game.

Damien Wilkins scored 41 the other night, but will he be an all-star?
Are West numbers admirable? Yes
All Start worthy? no

TC has played some great basketball this year, but the West C spot is far too crowded.

Chris Paul should make the All Star game, but with the Wests PG spots being very strong, it could be doubtful. He probably will though.
