Default Will Yi Jianlian make the all star team?

Pretty impressive game tonight. Really smooth stroke, this kid really has it I think. Finished with 19 and 9. I know some people are sick of hearing about him, but the kid can flat out play. So regarding the all star game...

Will all the Chinese fans vote him in online and make him a starter every single season? Seems possible doesn't it?

There is a thread on this from earlier today.

What are your thoughts on Yi Jianlian being voted an Allstar?

I think China will vote him in with Yao like they always do.

Im surprised Wang Zhizi ain't an all-star.

How many times do you have to hear this for it to register in your thick skull? China doesn't vote in Yao. EVERYBODY votes for Yao, frigging dolt. You make it sound as if Yao doesn't deserve to start in the ASG.

Well, that wasn't the case in the beginning. I remember Yao starting over Shaq the first time and at that point Shaq was clearly the best center by far. These days, Yao will get in just based on him being a badass on the court, but it wasn't always that way.

Explain why arena voting for Yao Ming exceeded that of online voting for his rookie season.

I wonder if Yi is even on the ballot or you have to write his name down...

You answer is flawed and lazy. Perhaps every single Chinese person who attended a basketball game balloted Yao Ming. In no way did this guarantee him a spot in the ASG. Obviously, the major of voters at the arenas were non-Asian.

And what do you mean by large Chinese population in the US? What percentage of our population is comprised of Chinese people? Would they even make a dent in Yao Ming's ASG voting?

Yes. It would. Plus the votes from China = All Star starter over Shaq.
