I played rockband, its cool but I'd stick to GH3. In Rockband the guitar was the best and the most fun instrument. The drums are OK. You can't bash them like you would a real drum set, its more of a tap-tap-tap; a bummer if you ask me. Karaoke, no way in hell do I do that so basically that leaves just the guitars.

Don't get me wrong, it is fun but the best part is really the same as GH imo. I can see Rockband being more of a party game though due to the variety. GH3 is better if you're going solo or just playing with one or two other people.

The guitar oh GH3 is leaps and bounds harder than on Rock Band. I can play expert on most songs in Rock Band but struggle on hard on GH3 which is so much harder than 2.

I never got interested in rockband. I never played it before but if I play the game, the only instrument I would be interested in is the guitar mainly because I'm so used to guitar hero. And someone mentioned that the guitar in Rockband is a lot more easy. That sucks. The fact that expert in GH3 is so complicated makes the game insanely fun. Im sure there's gotta be some impossible songs in rockband. Playing dragonforce, cliffs of dover, impulse, Slipknot, Disturbed, Devil down to georgia, etc. all in guitar hero 3 are so fun to play

Exactly... Rock Band is meant to bring the n00bs into this kind of gaming but it's way easy. Guitar Hero 3 is much more challenging (In a good way) but the novelty of rock band is nice for a while.

I don't care about difficulty, Rock Band is my favourite. It's better for me cos I can play with my brother and it would be fun.

I just bought Rockband yesterday for my little bro for christmas..Do you guys think it is too hard for a 6-7 year old to play the drums or sing...IS the easy setting actually easy, he is good at games but this might be different.

Well. I finally played rock band. Guitar on expert is so much easier than expert on GH3. In fact, it feels like I'm playing GH3 on hard. I'll stick with GH3 and wait for GH4 whenever it comes out.

If I'm playing with people I prefer Rock Band. Guitar Hero's a great game too though, so I guess you should go with that if you just want to play the guitar.
