Default LaMarcus Aldridge...

Every once in a while I start thinking about Paxson probably made a mistake by trading Aldridge for Thomas. While Tyrus hasn't had extensive playing time and has shown some skills, I don't know if he will live up to be considered the next Shawn Marion.
On the other hand, LaMarcus is doing great for the Trailblazers. As a starter, he is posting some big numbers.
What do you think?...

That's who I wanted pax 2 pick n the 1st place; everybody was talkin about "Y did he pick aldridge instead of thomas? And saying that thomas made aldridge look like a li'l boy in the tournament; but that was just one game; thomas wasn't doing that all year to everybody, but aldridge was very consistent all-year around. 1 game doesn't make u a bonafide star overnight; and what happened after thomas and lsu beat texas? He was terrible the next game after that. Bottom line, I'd take efficiency and consistenty anyday over a 1-game pipe dream anyday if I'm the GM

I remember wanting LA, when we picked him it was great, then we trade him and it's like WHAT?!?! WHY?!?!

I mean he would of fit Chicago great, he still needs to put on some weight if he wants to become even better, but how he is now is just insane on how far he has come. He has the size, and already had a decent post game.

Hinrich
Gordon
Deng
LA
Wallace

That lineup looks so much better than what we have now. Hell if we still had Tyson, and we wouldn't of traded to get Tyrus. We would still have the youngest team in the league, and they would be able to get to the Playoffs each year.

This team would be pretty good...

We probably have...too bad, really.
And what about Khryapa???. He has had close to zero playing time, and while not a great player, he used to have some pretty decent number while playing for Portland...

I was thinking that same thing back in 05? Why did they trade Lamarcus Alridge? I think the Bulls should go for Channing Frye. Once Greg Oden plays next season Portland is gonna have alot of PF-C. Greg Oden, Lamarcus Alridge, Channing Frye, Travis Outlaw, Joel Przybilla, Josh McRoberts who they just drafted and Raef LaFrentz. I think the Bulls should go for Channing Frye, 6-11 who can bang in the paint and score and shoot from outside. This might sound crazy but I think that all Bulls fans should write to John Paxson and get him to get Channing Frye.

That's by no means crazy. I used to pay a lot of attention to Frye when we was with the Knicks, and I always thought he was a very interesting young player.
I also agree with you about Portland having too many big bodies once Oden returns. I think Frye would be a nice addition to the roster.

Having Aldridge might have meant being a bit better and never getting Rose.

I agree.

The Bulls wanted Tyrus, I didn't but hindsight says, WGAF! We have Rose now!

My boys Crystallas and Go Getter nailed it.

Aldridge over Thomas in a vacuum, duh. But Aldridge means no Rose.

And piss on that. Like morning after binge level piss. That 2 minute one.

Not necessarily. Do you think the Bulls would have made the playoffs in the 07-08 season with Aldridge instead of Thomas? Remember, LA was not that good back then; averaged like 17/7, while Drew Gooden gave us 14 and 9.

Atlanta was the 8th seed that year, and they had 4 more wins than we did. So it was possible to make the playoffs but not guaranteed. And having a better record while missing the playoffs would not have mattered much, because Chicago won that lottery with just 1.7 percent chance.

Long story short, we could have had Rose AND Aldridge right now. Oh well...
