What do you guys think of 2K's decision to finally make a boxing game to combat EA's Fight Night series?
I've always been a big fan of the Fight Night series, despite the limited roster, 5 second parries and some of the other arcadish issues. But hopefully 2K can improve upon the shortcomings of Fight Night without taking away the great controls and fun of EA's game.
i'm not too into boxing games but i'd say they got a good chance of having a breakthru title on their hands. 2k makes some great games, especially sports. their is a forum about this game on the 2ksports.com site.
I'm not that fussed. For me Boxing games and fighting games in general just aren't worth buying. It takes you about 2 hours of play before you are all but unbeatable against the AI and unless you and your mates all have copies they are a useless game as a party game also. I always have to fight as a lightweight against my mates for it to be fair and where is the fun in that.
Good luck to them, if they somehow manage to make it a game with replayability, good on them and I'm sure Ill support it.
*** This excludes Mike Tyson on the NES. That game was flat out great and hard as a mofo. That game took me forever to finally finish.
