Default Davis: Torn Ligaments

They said he sprained his knee. How long is he out for? Or is there even an injury report on him?

Clippers forward Paul Davis will be sidelined indefinitely because of a knee injury.

Davis tore the anterior cruciate ligament and lateral meniscus in his right knee during the second quarter of Friday night's game in Dallas. He returned to Los Angeles for an MRI exam Saturday that revealed the damage.

Wow. Talk about horrible timing. We have our best PF out until February and Davis was supposed to get a chance to show his stuff. He was finally starting to get minutes too. Plus, I think Dunleavy is starting to like Frahm. Had this been a few days earlier, Frahm couldn't have shown his stuff, and Frahm would be on the next bus back to wherever he came from. However now that Dunleavy has a new pet, someone else will probably have to go. Not that I don't like Davis, but waiving him wouldn't be completly unexpected. I forsee wither he or Aaron Williams getting axed, even though I know everyone else wants Powell out. We need healthy bodies, and Davis could be the final name or our IR every night, so we're going to need another PF/C.

I can see Davis being waived and promised a spot next season to make roster space.

I don't know about that man. First of all, Davis' contract expires this summer if I remember right, so I think we'd just buy him out and let him collect the money while searching for a new job. We're going to be too filled up for him next year. We'll have a first round pick, a free agen pick-up or two, and another 2nd round pick. Davis probably won't be back next year anyway, and now since the injury, I'm thinking it's goodbye Paul.
