I have DS lite but I have played PSP many times before. I would choose DS because of the touch screen. PSP and DS graphic IMO are almost the same. My favorite DS game is COD 4and the gameplay and graphic are very good.

Interesting. Didn't know that.
COD4 for 360 is awesome! I'll take a look at some screen shots for DS. Thanks.
i like downloading videos and playing online with it. i also like downloading demos off my psp. i post threads on ISH on my psp sometimes.
man, my psp is too ****ing slow on the internet(or is it just my wireless?). i really dont use the internet on my psp anyways.
imo, the only reason to get a psp is to downgrade the firmware and you can play downloaded games with it. i pretty much have most of the games out for hte psp
PSP
It isn't even right to have them in the same sentance unless it's
"The PSP is much better then the DS"
or
"I just took a dump on my friends DS while playing my PSP"
Those are the onyl exceptions
Guys you should all go and vote PSP for president.
I have a DS lite with the "R4" game cartridge that lets me download EVERY DS game (Don't report me to the FBI) and I tell you, it's GREAT.
The touchscreen is a lot of fun and with the R4 cartridge you can use it for movies, music, to-do lists and a ton of other things like an internet browser.
There's a ton of games where you have to yell (there's a microphone), games where you have to blow onto the touchscreen(yeah, it's that sensitive). Plus it has more games than the PSP, not to mention that it's cheaper too!
Anyhoo I LOVE my DS, the new Zelda is a lot of fun, Kirby is also a lot of fun because you only use the little stylus, really it's the best handheld I've ever played with, and I've had almost all of them. Turbo Grafix16, Gameboy, GameboyPocket, GameBoyColor, GameBoyAdvance, all of em. DS Lite is by FAR the best.
EDIT: Then again, I have played a PSP and I must admit it's a lot of fun too but I think it sacrifices some gameplay for fancy graphics, so if you want games with a PG13 storyline and good graphics go with the PSP. But if you want fun original gameplay and can handle a storyline written for japanese children, go with the DS.
i have an ipod, so a lot of the things the psp does i really don't need, plus the ipod runs it better imo.
im a nintendo guy, i have a wii and just got mario galaxy for it, which btw, should be the game of the year, it's absolutely insanely fun and addicitive, and so well made and tasteful. but anyway...
I enjoy my ds a lot, i still New SMB a lot and I have some fun with some others too. Mario Kart online is awesome too.
I might be biased because I'm a nintendo fan in general, but I think the DS is better...
the ds is imo the better handheld and the sales figures show that. nintendo has been running the handheld market since day one and they understand what people what in a handheld.
the psp is like a miniature slightly watered-down ps2. the games are long and in depth, and aren't meant for a quick pick up and play for 5 minutes gaming experience like most of the games for ds. handhelds aren't meant to be played for hours and hours on end in one sitting imo. you should be able to pick it up, play it for a quick run on the bus/train, and then put it away.
also, the psp is missing the second analog nub so fps lack any type of accurate control, whereas the ds uses the touch screen to provide mouse-like aiming, which is awesome, and i feel a better system for fps than even a dual analog controller.
some good ds games:
mario kart ds (online racing, rated as best mario kart game ever)
metroid prime hunters (online fps)
new super mario brothers (classic mario for the old school heads)
zelda phantom hourglass (great rpg/adventure)
call of duty 4 (solid fps)
contra 4 (back to the old style once again)
trauma center (addictive surgery sim, using the stylus as a scalpel/tweezers/stiching....)
If you care less about the graphic and want more variety of softwares(I use this word because I can't consider Brain Age or such as "games"), I recommend DS.
The release of PSP lite make it more considerable though.
