I think a lot of this trading Charlie Villanueva stuff started when all the talk started with the Raps drafting Bargnani since they are the same player.

One of the problems with Charlie at the 3 is Bosh isn't dominate enough. He settles for outside shots and by the end of the yr ppl were putting smaller players on him and shutting him down.

I still think the Raptors should have draftee Frye and the Gragner. Now that would be a great front line with Bosh.

Danny Granger I think would have been the best choice for the team. He's a natural 3 and he plays well in all aspects of the game. We'll never know what would have happened if Granger was playing for the Raps, but we all see how he played after Artest was out of the lineup, and with the Raps he would have got even more oppurtunity to shine. I'm not hating on Charlie I think he played great last year and would have no matter what team took him, but maybe Granger was the guy.

Trading him would be a colossal mistakes. We have bona fide talent right now with bosh and charlie, getting rid of charlie would in no way help us in the future as much as keeping him would. Unless trading him for an equally young and better player, but that won't happen.

Well Toronto needs to keep players instead of trading them. Remember all of the big names they got rid of that are now huge talents. Ok, we have T-Mac, Vince Carter, Damon Stoudamire, Chauncey Billups, Marcus Camby, etc. Some left on bad terms but thats how basketball is. But the case is, give them a few years to get to their top level. Give them playing time. Honestly, Toronto can be a great team if they stick to their guns. Now that Colangelo is here, who knows what big prospects he could draw in.

How will Bosh/Villy/Aldridge or Barg do as a front court.

The good part is the Raptors now have a GM who won't screw up the franchise.

Agreed. Team needs to build some chemistry. They could still make some changes though because the nucleus of the team hasn't been together all that long as it stands now, so some minor tweaks to the nucleus wouldn't be a disaster. I think that through Free Agency, the Draft, and some minor trades the nucleus will be in place and team chemistry will be the next step.

I honestly think that Toronto should bring in a vet center (has to be good) to have start off the season. Start by having Aldridge come off the bench. The more experience Aldridge gets, the better chance of him coming off the bench. Colangelo will know what hes doin no doubt.
