Default Pat Riley did the best he could in the offseason

I constantly hear and read from so called "NBA Analyst" That Pat Riley didn't do anything in the offseason, and that's just not true. He did what he could. We didn't have much cap space to do anything, we had to let guys like eddie jones, Posey, and Kapono go. The fact is we tried to re sign them but each didn't want to come. Eddie went to dallas were he thougt he had a better shot a winning. Posey signed with boston, FOR LESS, because they gave him one more year on his contract. And their was no way Riley was going to play Kapono the kind of money he got from Toronto. That's just ridiculous. I like Kapono, but the only thing the guy can do is shoot, Yet he gets like 24 million for 4 years. That's just one of the many reasons the NBA kills me inside. The sad part is the fact that guys like andre iguadala will get superstar money when their no where near deserving of that kind of money. But I digress. Pat tried to get free agents to come, but they signed for more money with other teams. Then came the Ricky trade, which i loved, only because it meant getting rid of walker. Look, i know he won us a champion ship, but let's not think he was a big reason why. Any way, Pat did the best he could with what he could do.

Just for sake of making you feel not too lonely, I agree, it's hard to get a good player with the current lineup, especially with O'Neal's contract eating them up. Trade him, please.
