Default Maceo Baston

Maceo is a fairly talented defensive player; who can block shots, rebound, and really run the floor well. He is an athletic sf/pf, who should fit into the Pacers new "uptempo" style fairly well. Peace out! (they love me for my pimp juice)

i sure hope so. a tall, fast defensive player would definitely help out.

hey may be able to be a backup in this league now , after years in europe fine tunning his game. Before he just got silly slapped, hes not much bigger or anything since than so lets hope that hes quick style of play fits in to indys slow offensive system

All right, I've done a little research on Baston. He's about 6-8, a good shotblocker, and he played for Maccabi Tel Aviv (I assume with Sarunas). His contract is 2 years and $3 million. This is from wikipedia, and he's apparently foul prone as well. This shouldn't be much of a problem, since he'll probably play 10 minutes or less a game. If he can play about 10-12 minutes, back up JO, and get a block or so per game and rebound well, he should be a decent addition. Perhaps he will be on the court often when Sarunas is also on, and they might work well together.

Edit: Draft Express lists him at 6-10. http://www.draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=173

This article is interesting, and it seems pretty high on Baston. Apparently he's improved quite a bit, so it should be interesting to see what he can do. Baston is the 3rd player down.

he can't be any more foul prone than david harrison. that poor guy can't even get through one play b4 he gets a foul called on him. he almost cried a couple of times.

Maceo Baston was pretty good with limited playing while with the Raptors. But that was three years ago. He should be much better now with experience and playing with a familiar face in Sarunas.
