Default Discuss FIFA 08

I've been renting it and I've really got into the tournament and manager mode. I'm trying to bring Leeds United to the top of Europe, and it has been really fun. I think the game play is great, and clearly more challenging than previous years. I've got the passing down excellently, and I'm just starting to figure out shooting. There graphics are excellent also, and a lot of the animations are pretty real looking. People fall down properly, they're visibly moved when they're jostled and I haven't noticed a single time when someone has been hit and not reacted accordingly. As well, a lot of sites I've checked say the crowds are bad in FIFA 08, and I think they are dead wrong. I've heard air horns, and when I play in big stadiums it gets loud! The huge thing that bugs me with the game play definitely is the commentators. They were so much better in '04. They rarely talk, and I remember they used to be entertaining. Anyone playing this? Post your thoughts!

It's a solid game, as most fifas are, but the game gets very tedious, especially manager mode, which isn't challenging at all. The new Be a Pro mode was poorly made...well I've always preferred the pro evolution/winning eleven games.

Yeah, but they're is only so much they can do with old consoles. They had to use a slower frame rate or something like that.

I was thinking about switching to Pro Evo this year, but I played the two and Pro has gone crappier than before while FIFA has vastly improved. Good thing I got FIFA at the end of it all.
