i highly doubt a back up point guard is ranked 3rd in the whole nation.

I work very hard on my game, I have individual practises every morning and team practises every evening + weightlifting once a day and games at weekend. If u are a 'dirty' and agressive defender it's realy good for u. U have what I don't, I have real skills (post moves, shooting, great passing) but Im not 'dirty' even agressive and that's stopping me to become great player. Everything else you will learn, but ditrtiness and agressivness are just part of your personality. BTW Im 17yo 7'1 C/PF...

If I repeat something that was already said I apologize, I haven't read completly through this yet. One thing that sticks out to me is rebounding the ball. It doesn't matter what size you are you can still be a great rebounder. Get position and hold that position, even if you don't get the ball atleast your man doesn't get it and believe me coaches notice that. Also watch J Kidd play, he gets so many triple doubles because of rebounds.

The other thing to keep in mind is to limit your trash talking. As a player and as a coach I could not stand trash talking. If I played against or still play against someone who is trying to get in my head it does nothing more than make me play harder. It gives me that strength to reach deep down inside and play harder. Don't get me wrong, it does get into some people's heads and takes them out of the game, but a quiet guy crossing over someone or blowing past them will take them out of a game faster than any talking will.

When your handling the ball in the half court set, if the defender's up on you, try just putting your back to him, create some space, keep the ball in front of you, but away from him. If you catch the ball in the half court set, and havent dribbled yet, just use some jab steps or a pump fake. That's about all I can say for that.

I play senior ball in highschool and my coach always tells me not to back people down, because it restricts your vision to your other teamates on the court meaning people will double team you alot more, and the ball will get stolen.

That's because you have bad chemistry with your teammates and don't know where they will be. True championship teams always have "eyes in the back of their head's" so to speak, because of chemistry. You can back someone down, and just catch of glimpse of your teammates jersey, and know where he's going for the bucket.
