it's very easy unless you are completely inept.

As long as the GFX card is compatible with your motherboard / system it's really easy. Just pop the casing, take the old one out, put the new one in...

I'm far from a computer wiz and I've upgraded the RAM, GFX card, sound card, and DVD-rom drive myself.

thx fellas, i'm more afraid of after-the-fact setup type stuff i might have to do...not really the install since i know where it goes. Only thing i'm kind of worried about the install with is that the card is supposedly really big and might not fit too well without unplugging/moving other stuff.

I guess i'll try it myself then thx

make sure you uninstall the old drivers first. Then pop in the new card and install the latest drivers.

Make sure you unplug all the stuff from it. Then always keep a hand on the metal case to ground yourself.

ok really dumb question here. I got it all installed and changed my resolution to something pretty high in settings. Now everything looks alot smaller, more in terms of my browser. Alot of web pages only fill the center portion of my screen, like my browser isnt lined up with web pages, its too big and shows too much space between borders.

how do i fix this?

thx again

I use windows 2k still...

but for me; just right click on the desktop, go to settings, then change the resolution to 1024 x 768.

If you want to increase resolution for gaming, change the settings inside the game itself.

when you leave the game, your system will revert to your desktop resolution setting.
